Imagine away, I’ve got no interest in reasoning with activists. You can’t reason with you lot as your position is based on dogma not science.
Why should I resign, I know being employed goes against the cult but I quite like having a job. I’ve got no time for zealots following dogma and ignoring science. These political activists and your cult are similar just on different sides.
The big difference is that their side does have the scientific community agreeing with them though, so they’re at least zealots likely to be right.
You lot are just zealots that are also going against science. It doesn’t look good for you good really, when you think about it. Why haven’t you changed the scientific consensus yet?
So, we're activists now? Or the cult? Or deniers? I can't keep up...Why should I resign, I know being employed goes against the cult but I quite like having a job. The non alarmist position is based on dogma? Because we have the audacity to question bad science and scientific practices which are clearly ignored by the alarmist brigade.
Agreement or consensus is meaningless in science. Unless it's about AGW(insert other name if it's been changed in the last week).
Going against the science? How? By actually looking at things deeper than the alarmist reports about impending doom and polar bears dying out would have us 'believe'?

How can I know if I don’t even know who they are actually are and I’ve no idea what their views are?
I’ve not been digging through his history at all. I’ve no idea who he is.
As I’ve told you many times before, I only looked at your history because I was arguing with you and someone else who is a lawyer you said I was “arguing with a scientist”.
I assumed you were saying you were the scientist but apparently you aren’t. I’m sure you’re very happy and content in your job whatever it is, despite being so evasive about it.

Who I am and my employment status are not of concern to you, or the questions at hand.
You asked me whether you were an activist or a cult member or a denier.I said I don’t know as I’ve no idea who you are.
You sound a bit nuts tbh.
I sound a bit nuts, based on a couple of simple questions and posts? Right...
This is why the arguement continues on.

About the most perverse reply I've ever seen here. You've totally missed the point I'm trying to make, which requires plane jockey El Stovey to reply first. You’ve shot yourself in the foot though by trying to be too clever though.robinessex said:

And as for “perverse” well thats a bit rum Given your daily BBC posting.
Climate change: Report raises new optimism over industry
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-46263770
A new report on the potential of heavy industry to combat climate change offers a rare slice of optimism.
Sectors like steel, chemicals, cement, aviation and aluminium face a huge challenge in cutting carbon emissions.
But a group including representatives from business concludes it is both practical and affordable to get their emissions down to virtually zero by the middle of the next century.
The report's been described as wishful thinking by some environmentalists. ..................continues

By the middle of the next century?! The tipping point for climageddon is half past two next Thursday
Macron doesn't have too many supporters for his greenblob tax hikes.
French Anti-Carbon-Tax Revolt Escalates As Lorry Drivers Join Protests And Cripple France
The Times, 19 November 2018 (précis)
- the revolt against President Macron’s environmental taxes escalated
- protesters blocked fuel depots around France
- lorry drivers joined the protest movement as ministers struggled to restore order
- at least 35 motorways partially or completely blocked plus at least 18 motorway sliproads
- revolt sparked by Macron’s pledge to continue to increase tax on fuel
- opposition has developed into a general rebellion against the rising fiscal blob burden on French households
- Macron is struggling to contain the rebellion that has crippled French highways
- he has been criticised for failing to foresee that his efforts to counter President Trump by putting the environment at the heart of his agenda would generate so much anger across France
No sign of any green peas at the thick of it, just this strange chap as depicted in WaPo

If you genuinely care about the environment just don't have children.
You may be interested in a recent publication which disputes the above position (with reasoning!).Summary Snip said:
Far from being the catastrophe that Thanos, the Ehrlichs and other pessimists would have us believe, population growth and carbon fuel-based development in the context of human creativity and free enterprise are the best means to lift people out of poverty, to build resilience against any climate damage that increased anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions might have, and to make possible a sustained reduction of humanity’s impact on the biosphere.
The head of "UN Environment" (for some reason that operation is based in Kenya) has resigned for reasons related to travelling a lot at UN expense.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-462...
Indeed it seems that a lot of travelling costs are incurred by that particular UN operation. Maybe because it is based in Kenya?
Who would have thought the UN Environment operation could be so opposed to its own messages?
I wonder how much smaller the UN delegation to Katowice will be now ...
