The wheels aren't actually falling off the wagon. From what I can see lately they are actually adding more wheels to the wagon as the pressure continues to build for something to be done.
The pressure, and the something, are something else.

Do something...like this?
Eat human flesh to combat climate change

Or this?

How about this?

Or ban a lot of things like this?

After all 'the science' is being abused to suggest to children that the planet will catch fire, in spite of the simple science that it takes temperatures above 230 deg C for paper to catch fire and 300 deg C for trees and veggie things. The IPCC's acolytes need nappy changes at now-plus-1.5 deg C which is absolutely nothing by comparison. We must do something! How about stay in school and get a science education.

Meanwhile Greta makes an impassioned speech at the UN Climate Action Summit in New York.

As far as I am aware No PH climate deniers were invited so can be considered irrelevant.

Keep on posting though as it fritters a bit more of your lives away to absolutely no avail.

Had a look. The first bit I came to is entitled "Viewpoint: What's in half a degree of climate change?" a video by Mark Lynas, an environment activist, and author. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Lynas If you enjoy CC scary/fantasy stories, it's right up your street. Otherwise, it's complete bks, devoid of any actual proof of his claims. Wasn't tempted to read the rest, I'm guessing I'd probably explode long before I reached the end.

PS. A bit more:-

"The BBC's director of news and current affairs, Fran Unsworth, says: "In a fast-changing world with increasing polarisation and disinformation, it's hard to understand the big issues of the day, so BBC News is trying a new way to help you make sense of some complex issues.

"BBC Briefing online gives you in-depth insight into some of the biggest challenges facing Britain today. This starts with energy - how we can keep the lights on and meet our climate targets. We hope you find it useful."

If you read the comments at the bottom, it's about 80% think it's all bks. Poor Beebs message doesn't seem to be working then.

Loads of scary stuff between the lines, particularly with costs. Some of the slides are obvious wealth transfer, West to East. Others are scary - get rid of the natural gas network in Britain and rely only on electricity, but you all need smart meters. Oh, and agriculture needs changing, together with your cars, but we can't generate enough...
It's a Utopian plan for a new world!

"Burning The Future"
so
"Don't Eat Cows, Eat The Rich"

The scary thing is that they haven't detailed whether it's income or wealth or where the cut-off wink is, and might end up eating the wrong people (mom, dad...) yikes

Sensible stuff abounds in the wonderful land of the climate activist, where activity may be to no avail, as somebody said not long go. Unless income or wealth levels are specified they might make the burning future worse by eating the wrong people (mom, dad).

Those planet savers need to check out what AOC and the Green Soylent Deal have to say.

Never mind old man. I’m sure posting here as frequently as you do gives you some purpose to keep breathing.

Have you no other interests though?

I will be interested to see how her higher education proceeds.

Could it be you are the one who has been brainwashed? How would you ever know?
No it's you who has been, and continues to be, brainwashed; you seem to just accept the media's presentation with no critical engagement. What is abundantly clear from the editorial policy of The Guardian (adopted wholesale by the BBC) there is a coordinated attempt to overstate, exaggerate and use hyperbolic prose for effect and impact; this is activism by any other name. It would appear that the previous activist lexicon wasn't having the desired effect, so the lie required retelling in an even more dramatic and 'alarming' manner.

Wow. She’s either a brilliant actor, or completely lost the plot.

Get a reasonable education (understanding causality would be a good start) then look at the mass of credible empirical data in peer reviewed paper which demolishes agw junkscience.

However this (today's context, and the thread) isn't anywhere near that level of reason-above-emotion, it's all about climate politics, where "the data don't matter" and "we're not basing our recommendations (to governments) on the data, we're basing them on the climate models".

Now, here we are with people believing that the planet - trees, books and people - are going to catch fire. We should "eat the rich" whoever that is, to fix agw. It's like education had no effect on them or their actual brainwashing has overcome it.

It's obvious where the agw brainwashing is, with activists and their agw supporters.

She probably has lost the plot. She suffers from Asphergers, and is on the Autism spectrum. The condition can make people obsessively focus on one thing and see everything in black and white.

She is being exploited, and rather then her parents and piers getting her to focus on positive change and studies, they are parading her around the world as some sort of angry, stroppy “poster girl” activist. I have said it before, I am not sure what will happen to her and her mental health when she is yesterday’s news, and realises she is not as important as she is made out to be.

Her parents are just encouraging and pushing her towards a complete mental breakdown, the performance today was as scary as it was worrying.

This did not look like an impassioned speech, she looked like she was possessed.

Watching the conference on TV (entertaining and worrying in equal measure) I learn there is a proposal for a socialist green new deal.

Given how odd politics seems to be, there's always a chance it may be adopted...

Don't say you haven't been warned.
