I think the Royal Family members he held hostage in a hotel until they did what he wanted them to do might be supportive of a regime change, there's bound to be more who might want the current crown prince removed from office too. Wouldn't be the first time.
The ones who stole billions. al waleed paid 8b to go free. Where exactly did the cash come from. They’re corrupt

As opposed to murderous? Besides the corrupt ones are just like the politicians they are dealing with, they are only stealing from their own kind.

He was hilarious. ‘We are crushing the Americans and pushing them back’ as a rank rolls up behind him. Minister of comedic affairs smile

I wonder what happened to him

Trump? He went on to become president of the United States.

No, really, he did...yes

If it wasn't so totally awful, there is definitely some mileage in a comedy sketch involving a Mr Bean style character going to the embassy to get a marriage licence but accidentally walking through the wrong door and into an interrogation, but being too nice to say anything...... /montypython

Given the evidence to date (inbound squad including the autopsy specialist, films of them entering and exiting consulate at the same time as khashoggi, the continuing mystery of if he was still alive how he exited the building given wife was sat outside) I’m unclear about the expectation that innocent until proven guilty operates here. There is not likely to be any killer scooby doo moment. Turkey were clearly bugging the embassy. Forget the nonsense about the Apple Watch.

They could release the recording but it will be denied as fraudulent. They could close the consulate in order to gain proper access but KSA will ensure it’s properly decontaminated.

In short this has nowhere to go. Turkey will continue to bleed out the probably true horrific details but to what avail? It will boost Turkey’s possible standing with the west. KSA’s is fatally undermined. But nothing definitive will likely surface.

What has happened is a directed cadre carrying out an extrajudicial murder by a supposed ally, with the likely intent to completely freeze any dissent by terror.
The only morally acceptable response is to recognise that MBS is too volatile and dangerous to be considered an ally. If I were US/UK I’d be rowing back away as swiftly as possible. Possibly looking at whether there is another prince who would be more amenable. Because the current crown prince is going to cause more problems down the road.

I would like to know the source of all these "You Probably Haven't Seen These Pictures From Saudi Arabia" click-bait pictures that appear at the foot of the pages on PH.

I would guess these are paid adverts by the Saudis to try and show the "progressive" nature of modern Saudi Arabia.

Could be. They aren't being done for free.

But I wouldn't know as I have all that crap blocked.

One of the alleged participants has been killed in an “accident”. I’m assuming they’ll be a few more accidents in the coming weeks.

'Tis the Gulf way - bribe or kill. Seems they're going to do both in this case.

There's a good article in the FT today, bemoaning the West's tendency to attach hope to energetic young Arab successors who disappoint badly, such as MBS, Bashar al-Assad, Gamal Mubarak, and Seif al-Islam (Gaddafi junior) (and even Sheikh Zayed's successors in the UAE).

What amazes me is they think these sorts of actions actually improve their situation, even if he had just disappeared without all this evidence emerging, his disappearance was always going to raise far more questions than a few articles that most people would probably never have even read anyway.

It's almost like they want to shine a spotlight on their power.

All these news talking heads claiming some sort of behind the scene deals to make it go away seem to be from the usual us/uk/ksa axis.
The fact's have already been stated and the world knows. Are they planning to buy off every person on the planet?
Anyone defending these evil scumbags are pretty much as bad as them.
Lots of recent photos of trump, may and uk royals grinning with joy in the company of this evil despot for all to see.
