I can't say I'm a particular fan of his but some of the posts on this thread are.. fascinating insights into the people posting them.

This bloke really gets you that rattled? confused
Contagion: one clueless right-winger shrieks uninformed abuse and they all try to outdo each other!

John #Bercow is a driven speaker and gifted orator but above all the keeper of the great British parliamentary tradition. I would love if we could welcome him in the European Commission or European Parliament wink

Yes, a lot of remainers are earning a place on the eu gravy train.
Shameful.

Honestly, the triggering in here. rofl

Government held in contempt, packs select committees, ignores motions, attempts to grasp Henry VIII powers, is dragged all the way to the supreme court kicking & screaming to be forced to deal with its own legislature, fails to turn up to key votes: NP&E Yeah, cool, cool.

Bercow breaks a convention: NP&E: HANG THE TRAITOR.

Fantastic.

Three posts on the bounce. Impressive for one not rattled.

Here's a thought for you: Things that can be simultaneously true; Bercow has been a staunch defender of the rights of MP's in the chamber. Bercow cast off impartiality when doing so suited him. Bercow has questions to answer over his personal conduct.

NP&E regulars: Six pages of outright hatred.

Always came across as a smug little git who thought he was a superior life force. Good riddance. Someone mentioned Frank Field as its replacement. I’d have no problem with him.

Good to know you feel a huge debt of gratitude to the defender of Keith Vaz and keeping the plebs from scrutinising MP expenses....

If he does resign on 31st October, before an election, it will of course be Ken Clarke running the process to elect his successor.
That's great!

Hoyle is my MP and the thought of him being unopposed at elections has ruined my day, not Bercow going can lift my spirits.

How are you doing there DurianIceCream/creampuff/Down and out? How many other fake alter egos do you have that you use to back yourself up, yet haven’t clumsily managed to expose yet? laugh

So weird.

I've stated I was on another forum before this several times ( you'd love it, full of liberals).
Any chance of a link to those posters or how to search? I'm curious.

Imagine someone hating NP&E so much that they keep registering accounts to post how bad it is on the subforum they hate.

And his successor will be appointed by a HOC with a minority government who can’t whip their choice.

I think he’s played a big card there.
