I think many would change their mind if they initially said no, especially anyone living alone.

They also train them like its all a big game, so they really enjoy it. Ive seen drug dogs in action and they were all having a fantastic time.

Of course my cat is the other way around, I look after him and he does what ever he likes!
My primary objection isn't to our treatment of animals but our use of them. A human is a far better guide than a dog for a blind person, we just don't care enough as a society to pay for it because we can just exploit an animal instead

Well my cat exploits me ha ha

A blind person may not want another person holding their hand all the way around a town. These dogs are their friend as well as their helper, also importantly, the dogs are very happy and well looked after.

I'd suggest that the last thing a blind person wants is a human guide.

Who cares about blind people? Animals are way more important. Far better to expoilt a human by paying them minimum wage to walk blind people across the high street.

A local vegan, she prowles the town spouting her beliefs, very much like one of those religious nut jobs:

Does vegan ideology completely disregard the possibility of symbiosis?

Not as far as I can see, but how much do you propose we pay people to walk while holding someone’s hand? I’ve been considering a change of career wink

You can tell that they are rubbish at BBQs.....where's the tomato sauce? And more importantly the beers?

Oh and also the small matter that you dont cook whole animals, the outside would be very dry by the time the middle had cooked through.

I cant wait for the summer, I love a good steak on a BBQ. I want to try cooking a "dirty" steak where you cook directly on the coals.

What if you would eat a dog?

Personally it wouldn't bother me

Yulin dog eating festival: 3000 dogs skinned alive, blow-torched then served-up as food

3,000 dogs – many stolen family pets – will be butchered, blow-torched to death and thrown in abject terror into cauldrons of boiling water and oil.

I think its every June-July in China, start saving

So let me get this right. They are skinned alive, butchered, blow torched to death and then terrified at being thrown into a cauldron of boiling water?

Yes, if there is an inhumane way to kill and cook an animal, somewhere in China someone is probably doing it.

Im just curious how a dog is terrified about being thrown into a boiling pan after being blow torched to death?

I don't think campaigning vegans are too worried about accuracy. hehe

My Jack Russell looked like a stocky little piglet and we often joked about roasting him. His back legs looked particularly succulent

Absolutely not.

There’s a difference between an animal that’s evolved over ten thousand years to be a human companion, and one that has always been food.

Obviously they vary between this techniques for different dogs. Just a reminder that China may be a superpower but they are also medieval and brutal.

There are no words to describe my contempt for the people who do this. They can’t even claim cultural heritage - it’s a relatively recent thing. bds.
