Seeing as Trump has tweeted that he both needs the wall, and that the wall is doing an excellent job and turned the ‘caravan’ away, is it now Schroedingers wall?

He has to say it exists or it’s a broken promise, but also needs to say it needs to happen to get votes for 2020 laugh
rotate I daresay most people really know what wanting the wall is code for wink

Trump tweets as of 9:30AM:
  • False statement on Strzok / Page texts
  • Wishes Michael Flynn "good luck"
  • Tries to pressure the Fed
  • Falsely claims social platforms are biased toward Dems / against him
  • Illegal immigration
  • 3-part selective quote of Isikoff featured on Fox News
Has he started his 16 day christmas holiday at Mar-a-Lago?

The Washington post are going for it:

Russia’s support for Trump’s election is no longer disputable

The Russia operation is staggering in its scale, precision and deceptiveness. Pages generated by the Kremlin-linked Internet Research Agency elicited nearly 40 million likes and more than 30 million shares on Facebook alone, reeling in susceptible users with provocative advertisements and then giving them propaganda to spread far and wide. The aim was not to toss the country into tumult, but to put the preferred candidate of a foreign adversary in the Oval Office

Russia's support for Trump’s election is no longer disputable ... all Americans should find this foreign intervention absolutely intolerable.

Speaking as someone that lives in, and owns a business in the USA, I'm sorry but your assertion is complete boocks. Illegal immigrants generally do unskilled labour, such as gardening work, manual labour, and house cleaning. They do this kind of work cash in hand, under the table.

Those are jobs that I can assure you the vast, vast majority of Americans will not do. As such, broadly speaking historically the country as a whole tends to turn a blind eye towards the situation as it deals with an uncomfortable reality: These types of immigrants do the crappy jobs at a low price that in part enables a high standard of living here.

For jobs that Americans actually want to do (i.e. the ones that pay more than about $7 an hour), illegal immigrants definitely aren't taking their jobs. Want to know that for sure? Try and get yourself a job over here without the correct paperwork or an SSN and see how far you get. If for some reason I decided I wanted to employ an illegal immigrant (for whatever job it was) and I was caught for this, I'd face a hefty fine. It just isn't worth it when there's plenty of talent here already.

To address the wall specifically, it's largely pointless if the objective is stopping illegal immigration. Most people here illegally fly in legally and then just don't leave when they're supposed to. The amount of people crossing on foot is comparatively minimal. And as already pointed out, those that apply for asylum are coming in legally and are entitled to make the request anywhere (irrespective of whether it is ultimately granted).

As an aside, when I first moved here, I had to spend a few weeks without a Social Security Number whilst the system registered my existence so I could apply for one. It's a NIGHTMARE not having one. You basically can't do anything. No bank account, no credit, no driving licence. Illegal immigrants pretty much have to live off the grid with everthing. Cash in hand, unable to conduct a "normal" life. I can't imagine it's fun. I am not excusing them for being here illegally: I believe that people should follow the correct procedure to live in whichever country they choose, and I believe that when they do it is important to do everything they can to integrate. I'm simply pointing out that as a life it really looks like it would suck.
Thank you Tallow

Last Thursday, Tucker Carlson ran a segment arguing against the economic benefits of immigration in which he claimed the influx of low-skilled workers “makes our own country poor and dirtier and more divided.”
“Nobody even tries to defend it,” Tucker said of workers without a college education coming to the U.S. “Instead, our leaders demand that you shut up and accept it. We have a moral obligation to admit the world’s poor, they tell us, even if it makes our own country poor and dirtier and more divided.”

At least four advertisers were not pleased with Carlson’s comments.

On Friday, Pacific Life announced that it would not advertise on Carlson’s show, and the company would “reevaluate our relationship with his program.”

“As a company, we strongly disagree with Mr. Carlson’s statements,” the company said last week. “Our customer base and our workforce reflect the diversity of our great nation, something we we take great pride in. We will not be advertising on Mr. Carlson’s show in the coming weeks as we reevaluate our relationship with his program.”

On Monday, jobs site Indeed followed suit, saying it had no plans to advertise on Carlson’s show in the future as did fitness brand Bowflex, and design company Minted.

Whoops - not so good for trumps fake foundation

Today, Attorney General Barbara D. Underwood announced that – following a court decision in favor of the Attorney General – the Trump Foundation has signed a stipulation agreeing to dissolve under judicial supervision, with review and approval by the Attorney General of proposed recipient charities of the Foundation’s remaining assets.

This stipulation follows the court decision last month allowing Attorney General Underwood’s lawsuit against the Trump Foundation to move forward.

Attorney General Underwood’s lawsuit sought the dissolution of the Foundation under judicial supervision and with the oversight of the Attorney General's Charities Bureau. The lawsuit – which also seeks millions in restitution and penalties and a bar on President Trump and his three eldest children from serving on the boards of other New York charities – remains ongoing.

Attorney General Underwood released the following statement:

“Our petition detailed a shocking pattern of illegality involving the Trump Foundation – including unlawful coordination with the Trump presidential campaign, repeated and willful self-dealing, and much more. This amounted to the Trump Foundation functioning as little more than a checkbook to serve Mr. Trump’s business and political interests.

Flynn's sentencing hearing in currently underway (well, just recessed to recommence after lunch).

Judge Sullivan just asked the SC's prosecutor whether they had considered charging Flynn with treason.

They replied in the negative, but the big T word is out there...

His family foundation has "voluntarily" closed down.

Case against Trump family's misuse of it's funds continues:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-4661117...

Mrs Underwood (New York AG) said in a statement that there had been "a shocking pattern of illegality involving the Trump Foundation - including unlawful co-ordination with the Trump presidential campaign, repeated and wilful self-dealing, and much more".

She continued: "This amounted to the Trump Foundation functioning as little more than a chequebook to serve Mr Trump's business and political interests."

Now his source of funds is gone, he needs the 2020 campaign funding up and running, hence the campaign kicking off as per earlier posts.

Flynn: Nevermind.

Just hit recess - it's no going well for Flynn
Judge Sullivan: On the "very serious crime," you "can't minimize that."

"This is a very serious offense. A high-ranking senior official of the government making false statements to the Federal Bureau of Investigation while on the physical premises of the White House."

"Arguably, you sold your country out. The court is going to consider all that."

Judge Sullivan:

“arguably, you sold your country out”

“You were an unregistered agent of a foreign country while serving as the National Security Adviser to the president of the United States,”

“Arguably this undermines everything this flag over here stands for.”

“The court’s going to consider all that. I cannot assure you that if you proceed today you will not receive a sentence of incarceration.”

After 15 minutes of this from the Judge, Flynn has requested a recess. hehe
