After 15 minutes of this from the Judge, Flynn has requested a recess.

The judge asked if he wanted to consider his guilty plea - he said no.

This morning’s Fox & Friends fantasy scenario is not coming to pass.

Judge Sullivan even asked the government whether Flynn could have been charged with treason for interfering in Russian sanctions imposed by Obama administration. Government didn’t want to go there.

One suspects the Judge is absolutely making sure to quash the arguments in right wing media that Flynn didn't know what he was doing.

Sarah Sanders on Fox news saying trump will get the money from the wall other ways. There are a "number of different funding sources we could use" AND "money through congressional appropriations" to get to the $5 billion the President wants for wall.

Different funding sources - wait I thought the mexicans were paying -is he asking Putin for more money now instead?

During sentencing, judge asks Flynn's attorney Stephen Anthony if former national security adviser was "entrapped by the FBI." Anthony says, "No, your Honor."

Michael Flynn just deflated Trump’s contention that he was duped into lying to FBI. "I was aware" that lying to FBI investigators was a crime when he did so over interactions with Russians.

Flynn tells judge "I do not" seek to withdraw the plea.

Mrs Underwood (New York AG) said in a statement that there had been "a shocking pattern of illegality involving the Trump Foundation - including unlawful co-ordination with the Trump presidential campaign, repeated and wilful self-dealing, and much more".

She continued: "This amounted to the Trump Foundation functioning as little more than a chequebook to serve Mr Trump's business and political interests."

Now his source of funds is gone, he needs the 2020 campaign funding up and running, hence the campaign kicking off as per earlier posts.

Does this mean the money the charity "holds" will now actually go to charity?

The judge asked prosecutors whether Michael Flynn could have also been charged in the indictment against his two former business partners at a Virginia courthouse yesterday. The government’s response: “Yes.”

The government also confirmed Flynn’s “exposure” in the case would have been “significant.”


A former intel chief accepts $600k to help a foreign power secretly lobby the US and he doesn’t take a charge for it? What does he know, given up, that was so valuable to Mueller.
We need to be aware to look for hints here

I'd pay more attention to what the judge is saying right now Donald.

I also find the concept of requiring "luck" when appearing before a Judge to be somewhat amusing. What you really need is

1) to tell the truth

and

2) For the truth to demonstrate you are innocent of the charges brought against you

Flynn's lawyers sought and got a deferment til March for his sentencing. Given the judge's strident remarks, could it be that Flynn may have decided he has more to give up to Mueller to try and earn clemency?

Think they're going to try and get more clemency for his further co-operation in the trial of his two other colleagues on more serious charges.
