You seem to think that "settling out of court" counts as a "win" for the defendant. It rarely is. It's just a lesser lose.

So let's have your assessment of Trump's abilities and skillset if Mueller's is not up to scratch.
Is Mueller a Presidential candidate now? I don't think he is, nor has he indicated any wish for elected office. He is over 70 now. I suspect his statements in support of Colin Powell and during the Snowden affair would come back to politically haunt him. Which is moot, because he is not a politician.

If its an assessment of how Trump performs against a Lawyer, then.....

Trump or Trump companies have been sued 3,500 times.

In 500 cases, the claims were dismissed.
Trump won in 451 cases
Trump lost in 38 cases
Of the other cases, at least 100 were settled out of court. So say 100-200 cases were settled.

So in ~2200-2300 cases, we have no idea how Trump or Trump companies performed.

https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/electi...

By all accounts, Trump is a pathological liar; that doesn't mean that he lies about everything, but rather than say "I can't remember", "I don't know", he'll make something up, and he'll be convinced he's telling the truth. So I suppose Trump's skill (or one of his skills) is in Front. I suppose knowing how to put a good Front on is necessary in getting banks to loan you money when you are broke. I suppose Front is needed when getting building plans through the regulators, or persuading non-union labour to finish his properties. How Front though does against forensic legal questioning is another matter. Not well I expect. Of the 451 cases he won or his lawyers won), how many were shock judgements? And how many of those did he have to furnish testimony?

On the face of it, he does well against lawyers in spite of that. But again, that is moot, as I suspect nothing will come of Mueller's investigations regarding Trump, that will result in legal action against him. Others might go down (and are going down), but it won't be him. And there is good reason for that to happen, because for Trump to be prosecuted would completely shatter American confidence, which is the aim of the alleged foreign conspiritors. Best not play their game. No one really heard from Nixon ever again, after he left office. He retired from public life, had a presidential library, died. For good reason.
I see where you're coming from now.

any evidence of the leak of commercial flight details?
White House claimed they didn't. A WH official calls it "a flat out lie" that the admin leaked details of Pelosi's commercial travel last night, as her spox claims.
Trump did announce the trip, the destinations and encourage her to fly commercial, as per the letter tweeted by Sanders

A quick google suggests only 6 (average) direct flights per day, so merely knowing it's commercial gives you pretty good odds of picking the right one, assuming you don't care about collateral damage or the consequences of picking the wrong one.

Plus, a reasonable amount of deduction / local knowledge / informers would narrow these odds significantly, such that risk of hiding the details of who's on it make it "worth the risk", from a certain view point.

Multiple admin sources were telling Hill reporters early this morning that the Speaker Pelosi delegation was flying commercially

Two points of note:

1) 3,500 times being sued? wow, what a See You Next Tuesday that man is!

and

2) Generally speaking in cases like these the richer party "wins" because they can simply afford to take a greater risk without being made bankrupt. If you have £10M and go to court against someone with £100M, all they need to do is to double down till the total amount being risked (in fee's and damages to the looser) exceeds £10M and they are done. The "truth" doesn't really often come into it.......

So if Trumpton and Pence get the book thrown at them and imprisoned, doesn't the line of succession fall to Speaker of the House of Representatives, Pelosi, to become President? Oh the irony.

I suspect that will stop any impeachment in its tracks. The senate will never allow that.

That letter is pathetic in tone, content and grammar!

I though Pelosi’s letter re the SOTU was pretty petty but at least grounded in fact (furloughed employees, lack of security etc) but, yet again, Trump lowers the bar rather than rising above it.

Who was it who said that the Presidency amplifies the personality not changes it?
Her argument is pretty sound; SOTU involves POTUS and most of the line of succession being in the Capitol Building at the same time, short of painting a big target on the side of the dome and erecting a neon sign with an arrow saying 'terrorist bombs here for maximum mayhem' it's difficult to imagine a bigger security risk for the Secret Service/FBI/whoever to deal with, and all relevant agencies are on skeleton staff due to the shut-down.

Seen the fine print?
"75% of each contribution to DJTP [is] to be designated toward either its 2020 primary (the default) or 2020 general election account, up to a maximum of $2,700 ($5,000) per account. 25% of each contribution to the RNC’s Operating account..." Uh, that's...100%?

They know actually sending brick to Pelosis office would be seen as a criminal act, so it's just another way of filling trumps coffers.

Parscale's language is fraudulent by saying "we’ll send the wall to them, brick by brick," a clear allusion to the idea that (as the picture also suggests) these are real bricks that are heavy and a nuisance to Chuck/Nancy and expensive to ship.
Just like many other of trumps ventures, he's selling an idea with his name on it, not a real product

Muellers office have esponded to the Buzzfeed article saying some of the statements are wrong

This has led to trump and Giuliani immediately declaring the whole accusation is wrong, buzzfeed are liars, buzzfeed published the completely false Steele dossier - which we know to be almost entirely proven...

I think this is that Mueller had to respond when the BuzzFeed story was pushing Congress to move quickly to impeach. Mueller needs more time to finish properly and they cannot have Congress jumping the gun.
The Buzzfeed article is mostly correct, the Special Council’s office statement is not a denial, just that parts are wrong.

The article mentions documents being shown to the reporters, essentially a leak from the SDNY, not Mueller. Mueller never leaks and he made the unprecedented decision to clarify this.

More about Pelosi's travel plans.

W.H. spokesman Hogan Gidley said: "The idea we would leak anything ... is an offensive, flat-out lie."

The Washington Post are reporting that: " A person close to the White House called WaPo Friday morning "to alert a reporter to Pelosi's travel plans, speaking on the condition of anonymity."

This in on top of The Hill reporters being told by trump admin

“That’s one of the key reasons that the president did not want Speaker Pelosi to leave the country, is because if she did it would all but guarantee the fact that negotiations couldn’t take place over the weekend,” Sanders told reporters at the White House

Pelosi’s spokesman, Drew Hammill, said the White House has not sought to schedule negotiations with the speaker for this weekend. Trump himself said on Twitter on Friday evening that he would be making an announcement on the border and the shutdown Saturday afternoon from the White House.
