The Donald IS bacon given a tangible personification. His lightly salted gently glowing bacon body is constantly slowly cooking in a never ending heat he emanates because he is like, really smart, like 24/7. The Trump/bacon effigy will never burn nor return to its raw state. It is permanently basting in a slow furnace of its own self importance. The bacon man cometh.

They were talking about this on the r4 news this morning. Really did not sound pleasant, but not entirely surprising.

I was intrigued by his apparent continual rallies. He is apparently holding one every two weeks. Basically, he is continually campaigning, but not actually doing much in the way of "Presidenting". Apparently coming out with nonsensical soundbites and continually contradicting yourself is working for a lot of his base - or at least that is what he believes.

Presidenting is hard work and tricky, whereas campaigning gets him the adulation he craves.

And presumably the taxpayer is picking up a large part of the tab for this campaigning - I'm assuming it involves the full presidential panoply of Air Force One, Galaxy full of motorcade, secret service etc.

Hitler enjoyed rallies.

Keeps the public riled up.

Excellent. Particularly right at the end when Pelosi asks if that's the GOP's best hope. It sure as hell looks like that's an accurate record of what they said!

I tried to find out that - apparently it should be paid for by Trumps campaign funds, or possibly by sponsors - there are still plenty of companies out there who will happily put their name behind Trump (I want to giggle writing that).

The parallels are definitely there, and he is still "appealing" to his base supporters.

The dems really do need to take the 2020 election very seriously, they need a couple of very strong contenders.

MAGA caps do seem to be a strong indicator that the wearer is an utter moron.

Appearing live is where he generates money for his 'campaign' fund, that personal piggy bank...

...but I thought the Mexicans were paying biggrin

Mulvaney and budget officials want to redirect unspent federal dollars to fund Trump's wall. The money would reportedly come from disaster relief funds intended for California and Puerto Rico and DoD funds for military construction like family housing.

Done by executive order, this plan would allow the White House to shift money from different budgetary accounts without congressional approval, circumventing Democrats who refuse to give Trump anything like the $5.7 billion he has demanded. Nor would it require a controversial emergency declaration.

More swampy mcswampface

As a lobbyist and lawyer, David Bernhardt fought for years on behalf of a group of California farmers to weaken Endangered Species Act protections for a finger-size fish, the delta smelt, to gain access to irrigation water.

As a top official since 2017 at the Interior Department, Mr. Bernhardt has been finishing the job: He is working to strip away the rules the farmers had hired him to oppose.

Last week President Trump said he would nominate Mr. Bernhardt to lead the Interior Department, making him the latest in a line of officials now regulating industries that once paid them to work as lobbyists.

Wait until Fox News declare that the deal isn't enough, then he will throw a tantrum and refuse to sign it
Indeed. "Garbage compromise" according to Hannity before warning Republicans not to endorse it or they will have to explain. Forgot he was in charge.

McConnel has just said: "I look forward to reviewing the full text as soon as possible and hope the Senate can act on this legislation in short order.”

Duing the shudown, McConnell wouldn't allow a vote on a bill without Trump's support. Now he's pushing for a quick vote even without Trump signaling he's on-board.

I can do better.

This is what Trump actually said during his El Paso rally:

"A young man who's got very little going for himself, except he's got a great first name. He has -- he challenged us, so we have let's say 35,000 people tonight and he has 200 people, 300 people. Not too good."

Could be fake news, but it looks like a wall is being built in New Mexico.

"The wall replaced waist-high vehicle barriers".

Replacing existing wall is not included in Trumps new wall.
