There’s plenty of evidence of sleaze already. The question is whether there’s enough to cause Trump any lasting problems.

I’d be very surprised if there is.

That's what I think as well - it's truly astonishing what's been uncovered already - I can't believe that people are so sanguine about it.

He really is teflon.

It's just like the Gates and Manafort indictments being quietly dumped on a Friday so no-one would notice.

I personally don't actually think Trump and his team deliberately colluded with the Russians.

I think that they did however allow themselves to be an active part of the collusion through stupidity, greed, inexperience of political office and primarily a complete lack of decency or morality on their part.

A President and team with a sense of decency would have seen the obvious traps and the danger for major conflicts of interest in a lot of their actions and terminated those actions. That itself is a major failing for the Leader of the Free world and the team of people who are mean't to support and uphold our rights and democracy........

Lot of reports e.g. via CNN saying no further indictments expected from Mueller.

Dumped meaning passed to the relevant authorities in a professional manner.

Honestly I think perhaps they didn't know which particular crime they were committing but I'm pretty sure they knew what they were doing was wrong.

Even so, ignorance isn't an excuse.

I think Byker is saying that the indictments have already been made and are "sealed".

Let's be honest though if the biggest scalp is Manafort/Cohen then Trump and his supporters will see it as a massive victory.

Reports saying none under seal too. Possibly some handed off to other jurisdictions e.g. SDNY therefore aren't counted, which means they aren't Russia-related (if they even exist).

Corsi reported to be crowing he isn't to be indicted and that he beat Mueller by refusing a plea deal.

Interesting stuff then!

Expect a few excited posters in here and some mega Trump chest puffing.

It's astonishing that is this is all it is then it will be seen as a victory - but it will be and will give him great strength.

So, no actual collusion with Russia then? A "nothingburger", as someone named it.

I wonder if there will be apologies from the likes of CNN. Or investigations into malicious use of the legal system by the Democrats.

rofl Not really. But this is kinda funny. I do wonder if anyone made any stupid bets or promises that they'll be quietly backing out of now.

I get the feeling this is going to be a massive anti climax.

And Trump is going to end up coming out of this seeing it as a victory

This isn't over, I don't see why you would think it is. There's a huge number of sealed indictments, we know Muellers attorneys workign with him will be prosecuting Stone in November, we know under a plea deal that Rick Gates participate in "multiple" ongoing federal criminal investigations.
We know that Flynn will testify in the Kian trial in July (Kian was a NatSec official on Trump's transition team) and that Flynn is involved in many other cases.
We know Mueller is involved in the case of Butina and the NRA
As for Corsi, it's reported that his case has been submitted to the DOJ for prosecution
Then there's all the cases that Mueller handed off to, the ones by the SDNY, Virginia, DC etc

Delivering the report is just the start, Mueller will still be around and involved in many cases for some time

Are you trying to be so stupid or does it come naturally?

Oh no, this was deliberate, but from what we know about trumps team, they just ignored anything that was illegal and just thought they could get away with it. And why not, trumps been doing it for years, anything he wanted done, people did it for him.

It appears the russians have pumped money into trump for some time, then others saw they could do it too , Saudi Arabia, Israel, UAE, Egypt, Bahrain, and Qatar for starters, Chian when President, providing loans for trump business ventures, granting trademarks and patents.

I should also add for the trumpettes who think this is a nothingburger

We already know that trump asked russia for help with the campaign and election
We know trump lied to try to cover this up
We know trump carried on trying to do business with russia when he said he wasn't
We know he also lied about this
We know that trump committed multiple felonies in an effort to deceive the American people in the days before the election. He's named as individual #1 in court cases about this

Schiff said to MSNBC on 'no further indictments': "It doesn't mean, of course, that Main Justice, or the Southern District of New York U.S. Attorney's office or the Eastern District or others may not bring indictments ... It's entirely possible ... there will be other indictments."

Then there's all those like trump jnr who lied to the house committees
Mueller brought 199 charges. Work ongoing in 5 other jurisdictions will almost certainly produce more

I fully expect Barr to summarise Muellers report to Congress, because he knows it will be leaked immediately. I also expect there to be a legal battle for the who report to be made public, the public has the right to know what it's leaders were up to argument.
