Is there any other president in history who could say that wind turbines cause cancer and no one would really care or remember because “that’s just the president”?

The Miami Herald are reporting that the FBI has been aware for some time that Chinese operatives have been active inside Mar-A-Lago and have been running a counterintelligence probe for some time.

Probably more like he knows he's making money from oil lobbyists, and that his supporters are mostly uneducated potatoes who'll believe anything he says?

I can't see Biden running now afte there's a few women saying they wee uncomfortable with his touching. But how refreshing was his statement. Unlike trump, Kavanaugh, No denial, no abusive verbal attack, just acceptance that the old rules have changed following me too.

"Social norms are changing. I understand that, and I’ve heard what these women are saying. Politics to me has always been about making connections, but I will be more mindful about respecting personal space in the future. That’s my responsibility and I will meet it"
I remember hearing stories about Biden's inappropriate behaviours years ago, admittedly from some GOP-loving folks who believed Obama was a Kenyan Muslim and the Clinton's had murder squads out killing dissenters, so I didn't exactly give it much credence.

Possibly too little, too late for Biden but at least he's made the statement. Can't imagine Trump every making a similar statement - mainly on the basis that he'll never believe he's done anything inappropriate.

The chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee has formally requested that the IRS hand over six years of Trump's personal and business tax returns.
Richard Neal has given the IRS a week, until April 10 to comply with the request.

He will hate that, shame it is just the previous 6 years and not digging further...

He has constantly said he is under audit as his accounts are too complicated so will be great to see the IRS turn them over.

Trump’s Pick for Interior Dept. Continued Lobbying After Officially Vowing to Stop

A previously unreleased invoice indicates that David Bernhardt, President Trump’s choice to lead the Interior Department, continued to lobby for a major client several months after he filed official papers saying that he had ended his lobbying activities.

The bill for Mr. Bernhardt’s services, dated March 2017 and labeled “Federal Lobbying,” shows, along with other documents, Mr. Bernhardt working closely with the Westlands Water District as late as April 2017, the month Mr. Trump nominated him to his current job,

I agree, a rare thing in politics.

But Byker is right, he won't be able to run for Prez after this. I don't think he had much chance before but at least by apologising like that, he's retained a good chance of keeping his senatorial seat.

"I moved on her like a bh. But I couldn’t get there. And she was married."

"I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything."

In the land of the free anyone can be President, if a few inappropriate pussy grabs aren't disqualifying then Biden should be fine.

LOL. After multiple people came forward to complain about his wandering hands he's going to try to have to control the situation any way he can.

Won't make any difference - he's now a non-runner for Prez despite how desperately the 'Corporate Democrats' are trying to help him : https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/436829-pelos...
Strange how *actually* groping unwilling women (and young girls) seems to be less of a problem that being overheard alluding to taking advantage of female attention in private but that's hypocrisy for you.

Strange how Biden doing it makes him a non-runner for Prez but the "family values party" will overlook the actions of a rapey serial adulterer.

Almost as if democratic voters have an actual moral compass?

I thought it was good, but the rabid leftwingers are still unappeased. I see that there are rumours that it was the Bernie Sanders supporters (or maybe advisors) that were behind kickstarting this. What a waste of time: How is any candidate going to beat Trump unless their own side plays a united front. Politics is a nasty business.

Creepy Joe: Actually physically gropes and sniffs unconsenting women - even to the extent of doing it multiple times on camera while a senior political figure. No problem.

Bad Orange Man: Recorded talking in private years before he entered politics about how he took full advantage of the consenting female attention that being rich and famous gave him. Most evil serial rapist ever.

That's quite the 'moral compass' the democratic supporters have.

That's an insanely inaccurate representation of Trump based upon the multiple accounts given by women previously. Oh and that he also demonstrably payed off a porn star for her silence, after fking her (whilst married) just months after his son was born. But yeah, Biden is waaaaay worse. You even got in a Trumpian style insulting nickname (taken presumably from Fox News or similar).

Nice trolling. I'll give it an 8/10.

Biden didn't really have a chance from the word go against Beto O'Rouke or John Delaney, someone like Silicon Valley VC Andrew Yang is the outlier in 2020.

However the rest of it I suspect you're quite right, but the rabid leftwingers will still vote D no matter what because they hate R even more. Same with the rabid right wingers, no matter how moderate and RINO (Republican In Name Only) the R candidate, they'll still vote R because otherwise a D might get in. At worst, they just might not vote.

Rabid wingers, left or right are pre-counted votes to be safely ignored. The Swing states like Florida are where the battles are won or lost.

Absolutely. The problem is that the extremeties of each side make a lot of noise in an attempt to steer the narrative and sadly in situations like this it does seem to work. That said, I don't think Biden is the man to go against Trump anyway. If the intention is (and it should be) to pick up moderate rights, I don't think O'Rourke is, either. I really like Yang, but he seems a bit of an unlikely option as (although good) some of his ideas might be a bit too radical for the public to get onboard with.

I'm surprised, but at this stage, the person who seems to resonate quite well with the middle (from what - fortunately - little conversation I've had) seems to be Buttgieg. He wisely didn't join too early and seems to be a bit of a unifying force. Let's see.

Ah Kavanaugh, thought it was another go at Donny.

How many of the allegations have actually held up? The chief accuser wasn't exactly very credible when she couldn't name the time nor the place and many of the others who came forward have subsequently been debunked. Plus an extensive senate judiciary hearing cleared him.
