They're actually wind turbines not windmills as there is no milling process
Yes there is - they grind up the air into its component electricons - that makes electricity. As they push away the used-up waste air, that makes wind.Ukraine's prosecutor general says that he had no evidence of wrongdoing by Joe Biden or his son, despite claims from Rudy Giuliani
I mean, it's not like Rudi or anyone in team trump to lie.....

“I do not want Ukraine to again be the subject of U.S. presidential elections,” Lutsenko said in an interview Tuesday in his office in Kiev. “Hunter Biden did not violate any Ukrainian laws -- at least as of now, we do not see any wrongdoing. A company can pay however much it wants to its board.” He said if there is a tax problem, it’s not in Ukraine

Obviously, this *will* be the weekend when Trump finally freaks out, shoots someone, admits to being a paid Russian asset, and then walks out for a press conference in the White House garden, drops his kecks and takes a huge steaming dump on the lawn.....and poor old Byker28i won't have any mobile coverage.
Man seen running across the track at Blanchimont waving a phone in the air shouting "5th Avenue! I knew he couldn't live up to that boast".Not that I'm one to talk. Pretty sure my friends have SOP's for rescuing people who I've decided to discuss economics with on social occasions.

The lying orange sack of st was warned by Obama not to hire Flynn, and also by Sally Yates.
He then hired Flynn and fired Yates.
Just how gullible does he think people are? It is '1984' a little bit more every day. Poor America.
“Unbelievably”.

The evidence says about a hundred a year, which completely contradicts Trump's claim that hundreds and hundreds die .
To be honest I don't care about the Trump statement, although you could be charitable and presume he meant cumulatively, it was the green myth thing I objected to. It is clearly a not a myth since it has actually happened.NWTony said:

In life, you need to have perspective to find the right solutions to problems. If you (you, personally) genuinely care about the harm done to birds, and yet you chose to prop up nonsense claims by an opportunistic politician*, you have no perspective.Trump uses harm to bird life by wind turbines in exactly the same way as he uses harm to America by immigrants. If he cared about scale of harm, he'd be doing something about American gun law.
- For a clue about just how much Trump really cares about bird welfare, remind yourself of the harm he does to habitat when building golf courses: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/nov/08/tr...

I don't cae how many birds fossil fuel or nuclear kills, although I admit to be curious about the methodology for the deaths, how does a nuclear power station kill a bird? The hitting the turbine thing is pretty self explanatory but how does a nuclear power station do it?I did click the link but only got access to the abstract. If you have the full paper I'd love to see a copy.So whataboutism aside, the fact, not a myth, is that turbines kill bird which was my only point.I don't care about Trumps statement or its accuracy or lack thereof.

But yeah, Trump eh? bd.

If you (you personally) can read you would see that my issue was with someone calling turbines killing birds a myth, nothing whatsoever to do with Trump, his policies or golf clubs. I actually don't care much about the damage done to birds to be honest, it certainly doesn't break into my top 10 of issues I give a st about. I don't oppose wind power either, I think it makes a necessary contribution to a wider power generation portfolio and if I'm honest I quite like the look of them juxtaposed against landscape, something ethereal about it.
But yeah, Trump eh? bd.
Someone is in a hole and can't get out. But yeah, Trump eh? bd.
Fact not myth.
I don't care about the hole your in, in fact I actually like holes, just that I need to point things out and then say more stuff after it just because.
Trump Tells Pentagon Chief He Does Not Want War With Iran: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/16/world/middleeas...
Interesting development as it fits with what the Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif has been saying, that he believes Trump wants to make a deal but is being pushed towards war by the 'B team' (Bibi in Israel, Bolton in America, bin Salman in Saudi and bin Zayef in UAE). Long interview with Zarif regarding the USA / Iran situation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXbkKaJ1wvk
These are the twelve demands being made of Iran which amount to complete capitulation in Syria and Yemen plus a loss of face, sovereignty and influence. There's no chance whatsoever of Iran agreeing to that lot. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2018/05/mike-pompeo...
Good FP article outlining a common misconception among western lawmakers and general public who don't understand that Iran is the centre of a resistance movement that has very little to do with religion. The trope about muslims being crazy jihadi headchoppers is an almost entirely Saudi/Salafist thing that bears little resemblance to Iran's axis of resistance rhetoric. It is best to use the lens of sovereignty and economics when trying to understand Iran's motivations and what binds them to their allies: https://foreignpolicy.com/2019/05/15/the-hidden-so...

Trump tax returns: Steven Mnuchin refuses to comply with subpoena: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/may/17/st...
Dems were expecting this so are hoping to take it to court next week. Article doesn't say if that will be the end of it or if the banana wing of the republican party will be able to appeal and punt it on to a different court.

Yes, it will be interesting to see what happens now. trump is just acting like the career crook he has always been. He has spent his life not being brought to justice and continues to act the same as ever. So far the checks and balances have failed. It's time that the people giving the one-finger salute to congressional orders are punished. It seems fair to say that the future of the US may hinge on how things go in the next few weeks. If the Congress doesn't or can't show authority trump will continue the march towards dictatorship.Dems were expecting this so are hoping to take it to court next week. If that's true (which I doubt), then blame the legal system, not Trump. If they can't enforce laws properly then they have no one to blame except themselves.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
