If you (you personally) can read you would see that my issue was with someone calling turbines killing birds a myth, nothing whatsoever to do with Trump, his policies or golf clubs. I actually don't care much about the damage done to birds to be honest, it certainly doesn't break into my top 10 of issues I give a st about. I don't oppose wind power either, I think it makes a necessary contribution to a wider power generation portfolio and if I'm honest I quite like the look of them juxtaposed against landscape, something ethereal about it.

But yeah, Trump eh? bd.
Someone is in a hole and can't get out.

Fact not myth.

I don't care about the hole your in, in fact I actually like holes, just that I need to point things out and then say more stuff after it just because.
So it be unto that.

Yes, it will be interesting to see what happens now. trump is just acting like the career crook he has always been. He has spent his life not being brought to justice and continues to act the same as ever. So far the checks and balances have failed. It's time that the people giving the one-finger salute to congressional orders are punished. It seems fair to say that the future of the US may hinge on how things go in the next few weeks. If the Congress doesn't or can't show authority trump will continue the march towards dictatorship.
If that's true (which I doubt), then blame the legal system, not Trump. If they can't enforce laws properly then they have no one to blame except themselves.
That’s a bit like saying when a car thief nicks your car it wasn’t his fault, , it was the Police for not stopping him.

Rubbish - it's like a car thief being caught in a stolen car and then let go for lack of evidence.

If Trump has committed crimes, then (a) where is the evidence and (b) if the evidence is so obvious that anyone can see it, then why wasn't he charged at the time?

it seems likely they had not really prepared for the possibility a crook on trump's scale could ever ascent to the position of president. The only reason trump is not in jail is because it has been decreed (why!?) that a sitting president can't be indicted.

Today, REPUBLICAN congressman Justin Amash has said Trump engaged in “Impeachable conduct”

“Attorney General Barr has deliberately misrepresented Mueller’s report. President Trump has engaged in impeachable conduct.”

If a few more Republicans can locate their spines, perhaps the end of this farce may be a possibility.

You mean the evidence that Congress have asked for and he’s refusing to turn over? Or refusing to be interviewed by Robert Mueller? Or threatening to sue anybody who doesn’t work directly for him if they provide information to Congress.

It’s like the PCC personally appointing The Chief Constable and instructing him to stop the PCC being investigated. He literally couldn’t be more corrupt if he tried.

You have to admire this man, the first Republican to act like an adult:

It's interesting how toothless congress appears to be in reality.

Things will have to change once the festering crook is finally gone, however that happens.

It’s apparent that the checks and balances are not sufficient to deal with someone who considers himself above the law.

'He told his followers that "few members of Congress even read Mueller's report" and claimed that they made up their minds based on "partisan affiliation."' Sounds about right. The days when politicians read reports are long gone, like the rest of us they only respond to bite-size info and soundbites these days.

'The 448 page (Mueller) report includes large swathes of redactions and a subpoena demanding its full version has been issued.'
Anybody know what the status is on that? Seems like the standard WH response to demands and subpoenas is simply to ignore them.

Yes, it is a standoff. The WH and trump acolytes are refusing to hand anything over. Congress makes a bit of noise about not being happy about it. What needs to happen is they need to have someone arrested to show they have some bite.
