It’s been kicking off in Belgium too.
Knowing a few Belgians, is it them having a bit of a mutter under their breath about the cost of Ferrero Rocher and Vintage Bassoon cases? It’s actually quite lively there too

What is amusing is that last week we had a little disruption in London from a bunch of climate change concerned crusties campaigning in favour of the sort of measures Macron has imposed - well, actually, in favour of very much harsher measures in order to get us to net zero CO2 by 2025.
Perhaps they should all get on the Eurostar to Paris and mount a pro- fuel tax counter protest?

Makes me laugh every time I read thatPerhaps they should all get on the Eurostar to Paris and mount a pro- fuel tax counter protest?
I'm in Southern France at the moment and they are in every town.
It's odd to witness something that would never, ever happen in the UK. Being prevented from progressing and being stared at hard by some twitchy randos is not appetising.
All of the passing cars have vests on their dash. Can't tell whether that's down to support or not wishing to incur their wrath.
I cannae believe anyone thought Macron would be anything other than what he appears to be.

From the moment he got in and summoned all the politicians to Versailles for a lecture, i said the jumped up tosspot was going to go down in flames.
The more this goes on, the more likely Le Pen will get voted in. The French have had enough of banker puppets from their elite college programs.
Its a very odd system they have over there to train their future governors, which breeds contempt of the average worker. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89cole_nationale...

Macron unpopular and up against it. Out of touch and elitist. He has to back down and cut taxes but this will destroy is presidency.
And possibly the EU ? With the issues in Greece, Italy, Hungary and now France and Mutti being dethroned in Germany by a resurgent right wing
Interesting times

It's a bit like watching the protests in the UK a few years ago...only without the Ghee*

Have some respect. It’s KTC pure butter ghee (How many people remember Ghee butter?)
Sangat TV! Loved it when they gave the cop a lift in their Freelander. Far better than the mainstream reporting
