Fuel prices may be not, renewables most certainly. Frances target for 2020 is 23% renewables. Not necessarily a bad thing but it is EU policy albeit agreed by the French and the EU have powers to enforce it. Explains why Macron is shutting down the coal fired stations...

Keep reaching, the EU is not the reason the yellow vest protest started

while the police aren't exactly a nice group themselves (seen several 'questionable' vids of their actions) I'm starting to have a degree of sympathy for them

Looks a lot like the French protests have now been hijacked by the rent-a-mob thugs that turn up purely to smash things up for weekend entertainment, same as happens at protests here.

Can only hope that one day they save up to buy a nice car, only for someone to smash and burn it up and take it off them.

Interesting that there's almost complete news blackout on this from the corporatist/globalist MSM.

Does that matter? A genuine question as I can see there are at least 2 sides to it. One that MSN is just a bit of Windows bumpf that none of us actually wants and we can all ignore as a minor inconvenience. The other that since it's pervasive and since lots of people see it, it matters.

For the avoidance of doubt, I'm NOT on the side of the yellow vests. The 'Juden' really says it all eek

Ovaltine is also available. It remains the case that the post you replied to didn't claim a full media blackout so giving one counter-example was meaningless. PH: details matter.

Get your tin foil hat ready for media headlines on media coverage.

"Blacking Out the Yellow Vests on Cable News: Corporate Media Doing its Job"

"Media 'in cahoots' with French govt"

"French protests spark media demands for Facebook censorship"

"Why France's Yellow Vest Protests Have Been Ignored by the US"

Enough to go Full Stannous Milliner wink

That was the first hit I found, feel free to look for yourself. There is no blackout, partial or otherwise.

Opinions are like Ovaltine and Horlicks, alternatives are available.

It's as quiet as a petite souris on independent news channels. Can't say about BBC coverage beyond the web.

YMMV

Like bedtime drinks some opinions are sillier than others.

Just because the MSM isn't as obsessed as some on here doesn't mean there's a blackout.

Talking of pedantry, can you even have a partial blackout?
