Why are most of the comments up the side so disgustingly anti-Jew? "Burn the Jews" , "Throw some Jews on top!" etc.

I'm glad the British are not like that...
Be careful what you’re glad of, if the insinuations, real or imaginary, of anti-semitism in the Corbyn camp have a grain of truth in them, (which I find hard to believe, but maybe I’m too naive), and the unthinkable happens, and Comrade Jeremy, and his Commissar John McDonnell take the reins, maybe we’ll find out.

This is better than watching the football this afternoon.
Wish I had some popcorn.

France has a lot of right wing catholics (hence why the French National do well) and extremist muslims both don't need much of an excuse to blame the Jews for anything and everything plus also as already stated you've got the freaks from other parts of the world giving an input as well.
France will always be a country mostly made up of shysters.

Been watching five hours straight. To quote a Die Hard line, they are going to need one heck of a paint job and a s**t load of screen doors to sort the mess out.

It's started to get nasty today in Paris, fire bombs being thrown by protesters and the police responding with water canon, also, protesters say they are going to continue with the protests.
Not sure what the fuss is about if they can afford to set light to bottles of petrol rather than put it in their cars...

Watching this unfold makes me wonder where it is going

Lots of middle aged and seemingly respectable people being interviewed.. their anger is palpable

People saying this is not going away .. that Macron is a dictator and ruler for the rich

People drawing parallels with 1968

It doesn’t look like these protests are going to end soon

People wonder why MSM is derided. Compare RT Live on YouTube at the scene in Paris now to the BBC News a few moments ago and make your own judgement.

Macron still worried about access to British fishing waters?
I think he has a bigger headache.

Hardly a mention on the BBC .. watching France24 where it is getting quite a bit of coverage

Interesting reports on the protests taking part across France today, not just Paris

Pictures of trucks stuck on the Motorways and empty shelves in supermarkets

65 injured and 140 arrested so far. But the night is still young and so are the fires.

The CO2 that your car puts out damages the planet every bit as much as that put out by a A Veyron.

Fuel tax is very fair as it charges based on use.
Wake up at the back, it's now accepted that CO2 from cars is no problem at all. You believe the old st we were pedalled, it is no time to believe the new st, and pay accordingly.

Oh and ignore the billions of tonnes of shyte dumped into the atmosphere / rivers and sea out in the Far East.

I live in rural SW France and every major roundabout leading to the major roads NSEW are blocked as well as some key minor roads that lead onto major roads. The anger of the local populace is palpable and they've had enough of the metro elites, not sure where this is going to go or how long they can keep it up but the local gendarme is stretched to the limit and can't be everywhere at once so the protesters are pretty much doing what they like.

Knowing a few Belgians, is it them having a bit of a mutter under their breath about the cost of Ferrero Rocher and Vintage Bassoon cases?

You probably mean Front National, the old name for National Rally, the right wing populist national party, led by Marine Le Pen.
Weren’t many shysters at Diên Biên Phu, where my great-uncle was wounded in 1954, even though that battle ended France’s involvement in Indochina.
It’s reading merde like your last line that makes me prouder of my soupçon of French blood when I hear La Marseillaise on Juillet Quatorze, (Bastille Day).

Was watching some of the news and the supermarkets are running low as loads of the roads are blocked so no deliveries are possible.
