Our friends from the EV forum.

Look at the fking state of that lot; talk about "the usual suspects". Looks like a day out in Hebden Bridge.
Really?
I'm not in any way supportive of their methods, but they look quite normal to me.

Can you please post up a pic of yourself and we can assess how normal you look?

If I ever block some major routes in Central London for a few days you can come and take a picture of me.

The irony is - they are campaigning for much harsher measures than those Macron has attempted to impose and which the French are currently rioting againstlaugh

Same nutters out again.

I'm sorry but I'm incredibly frustrated that people who want to ban planes, boilers and petrol are getting a following. Do people not look at a cause and feel their views are a bit extreme? That's before you've got to their tactics. Surely there's a sensible green cause? The polarised state of politics today though...

Undoubtedly they also voted Remain yet would leave no actual means of free trade and movement of people.

Also, i thought we were punching well above our weight when it comes to co2 levels, even by direct comparions such as per capita, like 15th in the world?

so whats the fking point us doing anymore when the likes of china and the US are by many multiples more damaging to the environemnt, and our tiny little island barely registers in comparison.

A bit like the drinking straw shift away from plastic, thats all fine and dandy if it even saves one turtle, but you go to the poorest nations in the world where they throw obscene amounts of st into the rivers and seas and it makes our efforts completely and utterly redundant.

if the world as a whole doesnt come together and form a logical plan to reduce carbon emissions then we stand no chance anyways.

Yup. Indonesia is unbelievable with regards to pollution via plastic, any yet, no sanctions against them, no evidence of them being pilloried on an international scale at all. And yet we have to gulp a diet coke in TGI Fridays down in no more than 3 minutes before the stting straw implodes on us.
The activists are fighting completely the wrong battles.
It reminds me of the day that that day that the feminists activists were all patting each other on the back about F1 grid girls being banned, ............…...the same day, news about 20 pages behind was saying that some c.20k UK resident women and girls are subject to FGM every year...……..and only one case brought to court so far........................................................................completely the wrong battles being fought, but lets pat ourselves on the back and pretend it is all fine.

I am all for protest, but at least protest about the important things in life.

Did i hear on the news this morning that they're planning to block a tube station?
If so, WTF is the point of obstructing people who are using public transport instead of their cars?

Well there's the narrative of it all being our fault. If the emerging markets are behind the curve on environmental issues, it's the west's fault for having previously oppressing them so they're now still catching up. that's me playing devils advocate there but I have heard it stated that they shouldn't suffer for our past environmental sins.

Yep - Indonesia contributes MASSIVELY to global warming by burning rain forests to produce bloody palm oil.

... and kills Orangutans in the process.

Malaysia chucks millions of tons of garbage into rivers / the sea.

China chucks out massive amounts of pollution from coal fired power stations.

these idiot students/ crustys are focusing at the wrong thing!

I see the latest climate propaganda darling Greta is encouraging more action too rolleyes

Be interesting to see who funds these groups. It seems to be destruction of the West while the big 'polluters' get away with it.

Fair play to them. If it keeps the pressure up on the production of new forms of renewable transport, crack on.

?? Renewable transport? What do you even mean, electric stuff?
Like the tubes and trains they're blockading?
Or green electric cars, with their lithium and heavy metals, shipped half way around the globe, to last 6 years then landfilled?

I'm not having a dig, I just don't know what you mean about "renewable transport".

They do seem quite well funded/ organised although their graffiti and banners were very sloppy. I wonder if there are any theories out there

Wouldn't surprise me if they had funding from the likes of China. Make industry impossible to compete while they're happily taking all the work.

I wasn't amused today when the DLR was stopped because one of these people had climbed on to the roof. The DLR is, of course, electric public transport. Absolute retards.

I can’t see anything wrong either apart from they obviously don’t like black people.

Literally hitler.
