Of course you do smile

The DM continuing its hatchet jobs on any actual Tory Brexiteers following the change in editor.
I think they're simply highlighting how ridiculous he looks on that particular issue (the vote).

It's nothing to do with him being a "actual Tory Brexiteer" and simply do with him looking like a massive hypocrite and a sore loser.

I just had a quick look at some of the (comedy) wail comments. I guess the readership hasn't changed as much as the editorial has.

Why don't you regale us with some of the funniest?

Most like it apparently for the so called 'side bar of shame', what's your verdict?

'If in doubt, return to arguments that weren't even relevant the first time around two years ago'

In any case the NHS did get the extra money pissed away into the bottomless pit in the end didn't it? Stupid Theresa did it as one of her irrational knee-jerk gestures.

Indeed but just imagine it under Brother Corbyn! I even read a day ago that they're still buying fax machines! What a shambles the NHS is

NHS has had more than double the amount on the bus extra as it happens, they should have spun it as because of brexit, would have been amusing.

It’s a actually a reasonably well written and insightful piece. Has the daily mail recently got some journalists in or has it always been like that?

I see a Mogg fan above suggesting it’s a new editor? Is that the case?

As anyone who follows politics knows a confidence vote is very different as if a significant minority aren't happy with the leader it can make governing difficult.

A number of past Tory leaders have stepped down after receiving more votes than May got on Tuesday.

So no it is not hypocritical and Mogg expressed what needed to be said, in that the ERG are not reconciled to this leader or this policy.

The Daily Mail's editor was replaced with a Remainer around the time that May's chequers plan was unveiled.

Even noticed some political commentators saying similar stuff and I just thought are they being serious or just taking the piss.

Perhaps true, but the opposite can be said. There is no unity candidate and the party is divided on an issue that no person can unite. There is clearly a parliamentry majority in favour of no or soft BREXIT. The deal on offer is the only deal (so no amount of Corbyn white noise makes any difference and probably why they cant decide to go for the no confidence vote). The deal as is largely history, in the HoC, so unless they test the nations resolve on remain, deal or no deal; its a total political impasse.

The problem with a no deal BREXIT, is not that it would be that economically bad; but whomever governs would have to make political decisions or change Tory / Labour dogma; to prevent an economic collapse. The Tories would have to reverse austerity and do fiscal drop; and unless labour has been at the bong water (which is the biggest risk); cant really do irresponsible give aways AND stop capital flight simultaneously.

Either party looses control of economic agenda and has to respond to both domestic AND global pressures.

Buying time is a much better strategy right now. If Italy sh*ts its pants or defies EU budget rules, we could stay in and do whatever we want anyway. If we screw over the EC enough theyd PAY us to go! Being all English and cricket about everthing has ruined us big time.

It works fine for the UK currently in about 60% of our trade. That they've made "normal trade with the rest of the world" equate with "certain imminent death" in the minds of the hard of thinking, is impressive, but deeply disturbing.

Well later in the programme, Gerard Lyons defending a no deal/WTO scenario, came across as completely incredible. On the other side of the argument the woman from the CBI landed a lot of good punches.
