She should never have been PM.

Thankfully now gone.

Boris Johnson running the country? Wouldn't let him run a bath.

Gove? Bit-part actor and failed chin-grower? Odious

Dominic Raab? Was totally incompetent in his last job, and the one before that.

Rory Stewart - who?

Andrea Lead-no-one? Nope.

The Tories are a busted flush and hold no real mandate to govern.

General election now please.

But she remains PM until the successor is selected.

irked
She'll no longer be the Prime Minister...she''ll want to be the Minister Prime, and if not agreed, ask for an extension to her leaving.
She'll be A prime Minister, but she won't be THE Prime Minister, perhaps?

My vote would go on Sajid Javid, but I don't think he'll get a look in. The problem with an election is the alternative is Corbyn the tramp. And I'm saying that from a position of being slightly left leaning.

The Tories are becoming an irrelevance, the liar Johnson will be the final nail in their coffin. I predict a diversification of British politics leading to many uneasy alliances in power over the next few decades, parties like the greens and lib dems may end up as kingmakers.

It's generally a good idea to have each party having a leader before going to the country.

No it isn't because gender "pay gap" reporting is a nonsense that isn't comparing like with like and is so crudely calculated that it doesn't even include benefits in kind.
I didn't say it was the solution. It is a step in the right direction. We can agree to differ.
We can indeed

To me it symbolises her premiership. Lots of talk of helping the struggling working and lower middle classes. F all done to help them and so instead we had sops to the identity politics crowd looking for permanent victim status.

I do believe you are correct, the Conservatives are responsible for the Brexit debacle, it is their failure - for both sides of the argument. Because it is an utter disgrace. For everyone in the UK.

A General Election is the best way forward now. The UK Electorate needs re-affirmed or new mandates put to them and a new Government or a confirmation that they are actually wanting the Conservatives to see Brexit to conclusion and not another Party or, indeed, a direction change altogether.

Nice of Jeremy to stick the boot in when she is down on the floor . Everyone else realising her fight is over do not feel it necessary to stick the boot in.
Election in the Autumn it is then

and have two parties on 25% and two on 20%. You'd get a Frankenstein coalition government. Let's get Brexit out of way first smile

Ironically now would be the ideal time for Corbyn to go all in.

Set out your stall entirely towards either Remain voters or Leave voters. Logic would dictate given that we've had a referendum that a significant proportion of the electorate would still want enacted that he should rule out anything but a solid Brexit, whatever that is.

I wouldn't be happy about it personally, being Remain leaning, but his policy of trying to court everyone is irreconcilable given that big majorities of people want polar opposite things. All he & Labour are doing by trying to hedge their bets is to look weak and unappealing to both sides of the divide, so they're going to continue to hemorrhage supporters until they pick a side.

Brexit is a total shambles and it needs someone who is 100% committed to one outcome or the other.

Jesus Christ, grow a spine. One way must be better than the other. So tell us which it is. A leader? Ridiculous. An entirely cynical weather-vane.

Going to be interesting how many labour voters voted Lib Dem green or brexit party purely due to not knowing if labour are brexit or remain.

Same. She has her faults, but I don't think she's a bad person, unlike many who have held the position. Let's be honest, whoever took on the role it would have been a cluster-fk of monumental proportions. She has show resilience beyond belief, whilst being kicked from left right and centre.

I can't honestly see her successor achieving much if any more, at least then she can think to herself 'see, none of you fkers could do any better'

You never like to see someone emotional or upset but as a PM she was a complete embarrassment.

The last few weeks have been desperate.

They have, but only due to the elected members being unable to agree on anything to deliver on the referendum
