Wishful thinking. If anything surely it’ll be no deal / TM deal?
No deal disappeared last week when JRM lost handsomelyThe chance of a so called better deal (no one seems to know what it might be) disappeared when the EU roundly stated that the done deal was it.
All roads lead to the deal

WTO outcome is never going to happen. Parliament does not want it and won’t allow the country to drift into it by default. They’ll vote to extend or cancel art 50 to stop no deal happening. The EU has given that escape route already.
Are they actually organised enough to do that though?TTwiggy said:

You are coming across as an ill-informed and argumentative person.
You should have met his previous incarnation. That one could start an argument in a vacuum. Both of you seem more interested in diversions from the deabte and providing any answers. Kinda says it all.

'Debate' left the room several volumes ago. I'm just here to laugh at the efforts some people go to in order to continue a vacuous argument on the internet. Both of you seem more interested in diversions from the deabte and providing any answers. Kinda says it all.

Surely, it's going to end up as the TM deal (or an outside chance of still No deal) ?
Somehow, she will get her deal through. No idea how, but it’s the only real way things will happen. We’re not ones for doing really silly things (either no deal or trying to Remain now) really. MP’s are in it for their careers and it’s probably the only way they’ll stay safe. Funnily enough, it’s a disappointment for everyone. Leavers because it’s not leave enough, and Remainers because it’s not remaining.
Everyone loses and is annoyed a bit, but no one totally. That’s probably not a bad thing in the end

I think once it sinks in just how poor May's deal is, and that we are locked into it, there will be many people annoyed rather more than a bit in that scenario. Funnily enough, it’s a disappointment for everyone. Leavers because it’s not leave enough, and Remainers because it’s not remaining.

Still May & the Tories won't be around at the next GE.

I wouldn't worry too much.If they play hardball too much on the FTA, as a sovereign nation, we can always revoke the treaty and flip to No Deal then, citing intransigence. They think they have the upper hand, but it only goes so far.

Whoever wins the next GE will have the same pile of paperwork to deal with

A People's Vote tidies up the current mess, one way or the other.
Revoks A50 and remain on current terms, or a clean departure from the EU.

Hence TM’s deal will win. At least people from both sides could possibly all try to collectively get over it in time.

It would just cause more division, referendums never settle matters people just go on arguing as they did before. And the government won't risk it because they've learned from experience they can output the "wrong" answer.
They'd have no choice but to offer "no deal" as an option, and it's entirely possible the public might go for it.
But it won't be needed anyway, it looks like being the TM deal.

Revoks A50 and ACCEPT more EU drip by drip (as the last 40+ years), or a clean departure from the EU.

You must stop these LIES about there being a status quo.
The status quo is an option.
Because.
