Being able to avoid straw man arguments tends to make debates more engaging and less childish.

Unless you actually believe that Donald Trump’s public political position reflects 100% capitalism?
I don't quite recall saying DT represented 100% capitalism...however he certainly leans more that way than our wonderful European 'friends'.
OK, but you still used a straw man argument to suggest that immigration controls are a capitalist tool on the basis that Donald Trump uses them but the EU less so.

Isn't The Donald a 2nd generation immigrant anyway? His businesses thrive on immigration to provide workforces (I don't recall many home-grown yanks when I stayed at Trump Tower in NYC).
He may sound tough on immigration, but that's to satisfy his supporters more than his own beliefs.

hat's covered under the Freedom of Movement. Check this out

"Persons exercising their right of residence should not, however, become an unreasonable
burden on the social assistance system of the host Member State during an initial period of
residence. Therefore, the right of residence for Union citizens and their family members for
periods in excess of three months should be subject to conditions."

Etc, etc, etc.

The failure here lies with a certain country's own policy, not with the EU as a whole.
About the free movement,
I was living in Ireland for sometime before I return here.
In order to qualify for a Resident card in Ireland, they issue me a 3 months temparory card and I will have to report to the Garda with proof of financial active (pension/job in Ireland/enough saving or studying in Ireland) to get my 5 years resident card
