A yea, but presumably after bringing it down in bits they will need dress up in CSI overalls, cordon off the area, take photographs, painstakingly pick up all the pieces for evidence, bag, tag and take more photos, sweep the area for more threats etc, etc. Shouldn't take more than 4 or 5 hours...

I’d put money on the reason said shotguns in the picture haven’t been used is that someone behind a desk has told them their risk assessment says no. Not that it wouldn’t physically work.

No one could possibly shoot that without guaranteeing there would be possibly no damage to a gnome in Dorris’ garden down the road when it falls. It would cost more to replace than the £5m it’s cost to close the airport for a day.

It's a police helicopter so shooting it down will cause other ramifications

Are we sure that the airport hasnt made the same mistake
a small drone nearby can look like a helicopter far away
