I'm fine with the water
I'm not. I'm not fine with any of that type of behavior.I don’t always agree with JRM but he’s always at debates and putting himself forwards and calmly engaging with people that seem to hate him.
I’ve lived in countries where these protesters would get shot or vanish. The irony is that JRM being a classical liberalist actually vigorously defends these Idiots rights and freedoms and defends them from the power of state.

Usual PHs right wingers start saying whatabout...
He said it was “usual left wingers” I’d already condemned the act and only pointed out that it’s actually right wingers doing worse stuff at the moment.
It’s not whatsboutism as I’m not trying to mitigate the throwing of water at mogg in any way at all plus I’ve pointed out why both sides are guilty of this and not just the left.
“Whataboutism (also known as whataboutery) is a variant of the tu quoque logical fallacy that attempts to discredit an opponent's position by charging them with hypocrisy without directly refuting or disproving their argument,[1][2][3] which in the United States is particularly associated with Soviet and Russian propaganda.[4][5][6] When criticisms were leveled at the Soviet Union during the Cold War, the Soviet response would often be "What about..." followed by an event in the Western world.[7][8][9]”

Of course it is, you couldn't leave criticism of something the left did without your whataboutism of the right. Shame you couldn't own it.MrNoisy said:

Iditots on alll sides have been doing it for years - Prescott & Milliband were egged in previous election campaigns,
What would you think had Mr Mogg taken matters into his own hands like Mr Prescott did? Seriously though, Prescott (and anyone else who retaliates) should have been charged. By resorting to unnecessary violence they're no better than the attacker.

Seriously? An throwing attack, whether it's an egg, water, a milkshake, or sulphuric acid is at very least assault and the victim is quite right (morally and/or legally) to respond with violence. I certainly would.NoNeed said:
I fking hate the hyporitical fat prick Prescott, but he did the right thing, nobody can say that be was in any way the agressor.
Those were the good old days of politics with fat politicians like 2 jags giving attackers a whack. I didn’t like him either but I liked that and I think he did a good tv show about something that made me think he was better than the media portrayed him.
