FFS it's not a Range Rover, it's a Freelander..you can tell that at a glance from the first picture.

Is this PH?

So prince Philip crashes his range rover but has a driver on hand to drive it for him - so why did he drive it?
Because he’s a human being with a choice and fancied driving himself?

This is literally a place for motoring enthusiasts, so I think we can all agree that sometimes we drive because we want to, not because we need to.

I’m only 30 and I had an at fault accident last year, should I get a chauffeur in case I’m a danger to all other road users?

I get the feeling that this is being played down quite a bit by the Palace

Looking at the pics of the LR on its side i'd be amazed if the 97yr old Duke wasn't hurt but apparently he's totally fine.

Also the other car occupants have a few little cuts...

Not sure anyone knows the detail of this . So, usual PH speculation? Must be his age, etc etc.Why not wait until you know more? Or is it I wanna be first? Wonder if he has insurance? Have a go at that PH experts.

Protected NCB will be ok but his premium is going to sting at renewal.

Seroiusly though - get orf the roads you muppet.

He was lucky not to kill someone or himself.
Were you there? Have you seen the accident report? Why do you apportion blame to him automatically? What speed was the other driver doing? Was there a mechanical issue?

PH, objective to the last.
Let's just say that I could tell you, but I'd have to kill you afterwards hehe

Joking aside i do hope that if a Royal was found to be driving pissed they would get the same treatment as anyone else.... am i being naive?
I'm sure he would. Anyway, the police have said that both drivers were breathalysed and neither were over the limit.

The other car may been on the wrong side of the road.

Or travelling massively over the speed limit?
Neither of which would clear a driver of blame joining a major road from a minor one. You give way to traffic on the major road, regardless of what speed or direction they are travelling in either carriageway. Only if the fiat in this instance was doing double the speed limit would you maybe apportion blame 50/50.

If you think you only need to look to the right when turning left out of a junction you need to hand your PH card in on the way out.
I didn't suggest that it would automatically absolve him pf blame.

We don't know the whole story yet though. Yes, in all probability it was his fault but it's also possible that it wasn't, or wasn't entirely. A RR being flipped over is not an easy task. That suggests something more than just pulling out in front of something.

Beeb sent some poor sod to report from the scene, 10 hours after the incident.

They obviously know what he's like and don't let him drive anything decent!

I own a lifted RR. Tends to move about a bit in a wind!
