Hard to know where to begin isn't it...
Sounds like he's hookedHard to know where to begin isn't it...
I've a question, related to this discussion.
Our government fly our drones/warplanes over foreign countries taking out suspects, ie killing them.
Yet if they are bought back here they wouldn't face a death penalty because we don't have one.
So how come our politicians can put people to death abroad without trial?
I'm guessing because it's classed as a war?

For precedent, refer to what happened to British/Commonwealth turncoat POWs who joined the German Army:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_members_of_t...
Punishments were random, none were executed. Some weren't even charged.
eg. SS-Unterscharführer Douglas Hodge was fined £375 for High Treason. South African anti-communist was his excuse, but seems to have gone full SS>
SS-Unterscharführer Thomas Cooper; sentenced to death, commuted to life, served 7 years. Technically his mum was German. Black Shirt, traveled to Germany in 1939, ended up joining the SS. Probably committed war crimes in Poland, on the eastern Front. Bad egg.
SS Mann Alexander Clyde, boxed for the SS Pioneers against the SS Police. Got a stern warning.
SS-Rottenführer Edwin Martin. Canadian caught at Dieppe. Joined the SS, then returned to POW camp. Ratted on other POWs. Got 25 years.
SS-Mann Eric Pleasants: Merchant sailor caught on Jersey.. Also ended up boxing for the SS. 6 years in a Soviet Gulag
SS-Hauptsturmführer Douglas Berneville-Claye. Couldn't get evidence to convict him. Ended up being promotoed to Captain, presumably to match his SS rank.
Sub Lt. Roy Purdy. Sentenced to death, commuted, served 9 years. Rat at Colditz, propaganda broadcaster.
SS-Unterscharführer James Brady. Irish Fusilier, in clink for assault, on Jersey, when captured. Joined Germans, fought under the command of Otto Skorzeny. Sentenced to 15 years, served 4.
