On a scale of 1 to hilarious, that is a solid 11. Excellent! rofl

Please, if someone really, genuinely does know Faisal, please direct him to the relevant bit of this thread and put him out of his misery. He seems a decent enough bloke, so hopefully he might see the funny side of his name and 'phone number (or lack of) being dragged into the debate. the joke is most certainly not on him, just about him.

How will the unicornists respond?

MF is an utter embarrassment.

I'm sure one of our resident Brexiteers will be along in a second and shout it's all the fault of the EU.

Despite not being a remainer myself, my pragmatic approach seems to be incurring ire from Brexiteers on here.

Politicians are in the business of getting elected. Their split simply reflects the split in the nation on Brexit. Had the result been 65/35 in favour of leaving, we'd have left by now as they would have less to fear from the 35%.

But it was 52/48, and however binary that might be, politicians' main focus is on getting re-elected. What they are trying to do is make as many people happy as possible, or more likely ps off as few people as possible.

Some of them may decide they would rather ps off the 52% than the 48%, possibly by making a judgement that some of the 52% might stay onside for other reasons (this applies to lots of Labour MPs in leave constituencies).
We do not have proportional representation in this country, percentages matter not,

lots of MPs are voting against the wishes of there constituents, some have stuck two fingers up to the people who put them in power and really appear not to care about getting re-elected,

if labour politicians believe that it will not effect them they are sadly mistaken, I live in the north east and I believe Labour will suffer as much as the conservatives if we do not leave.

There are a lot of remainers who will be pissed off if we don't leave, go listen to pier's Morgan,
a remainer who believes we need to leave to uphold the democratic process,
it's a complex subject and I think we will get thrown out by the EU because nobody wants to make a decision.

In which case if you are certain the mods looked at the issue of multiple logins I will not mention it again. I would hate to receive a ban for such a mild posting issue such as this when blatant trolling is evident virtually everyday. Maybe leavers don’t report such activities and take a more robust and less offended approach to forum posting.
BTW you do realise that I have never been banned from posting in all the years I have been a member using the same login from day one to now. Remove the insinuation in your last sentence.
You haven't lived if you haven't been banned at some point.

GFA means a 'no deal' brexit will not be accepted by the EU or UK.
Something he said last year FFS! You do realise that there has been a veritable ocean of water gone under the bridge since then?

WTF are the BBC just reporting this now? I mean, it's not because they have an agenda or anything?

I expect you to come back with a busted flush... (again)

Nancy Pelosi will have nothing to do with any trade deal. Its the Senate that ratifies, not the House.

Exactly.

For example lets take Steve Baker, MP for High Wycombe. He doesn't exactly seem to be reflecting the views of those who put in power. A majority of the electorate in his constituency voted to remain - https://ig.ft.com/sites/elections/2016/uk/eu-refer...

And if the trade figures are anything to go by, we currently rub along quite nicely buying and selling from the USA without an FTA...

Sure. Or not, if the terms don't suit. It's called freedom.

For the purpose of exactly why the Brexit Party has been formed and launched, I am content with the leadership plans. Poll position to win the European elections, not bad for a political Party that have only been in existence for less than one month biggrin

he can go and take a flying fk to himself."one of the most powerful officials in the eu" remind me of his route to that position, starting in his home country ?
Regardless of our feelings towards European representatives, we still need to look reality in the face. And the reality is pretty bleak looking right now, no matter what side of the fence you sit on.

Its seems the only solution at the moment is to make life st for everyone.

Not at all sure why you need to be so downbeat. I don't see '......reality looking pretty bleak right now' and nor does anyone else I know. We all recognise that we have a poor bunch of politicians who haven't a clue but as a country we're doing pretty well - despite them.

No need for long faces, depression or general unhappiness, that's only appropriate for a load of internet keyboard warriors !
