It's sad that internet companies who are facilitating wildly underage children and other vulnerable people into getting into massively dangerous situations with potential paedophiles or worse are operating with impunity.
I blame parenting by iPad
That's too easy to give as a reason. When you can sign up for something like Tinder with basically no checks on who you are or how old you are there is something wrong.

It's really not that difficult to put some basic age checks in place.
Go on ...
One ineffective method would be letting some posters from this topic decide who is 18 or not.

I was at a young farmers summer BBQ last year, at the bar being served, the young girl next to me was making smalltalk, she was about 6 ft, looked early 20s and stunning,
my mate nudged me and said "you know her dad John" her dad is about 40 ish, she was 13,
actually I know her grandad, he is only a few years older than me,

thank god I had witnesses, and a wife with me,

they had a wristband in different colours for the youngsters to stop under 18s buying booze,
oddly I wasnt given one.

A few years back, my neighbour told me that he’d hired a hall for his younger daughter’s 16th birthday party, and if I was around, to stop by for a drink.
I went there with my wife, gave the kid an M & S voucher as a gift, and got myself a vodka.
The place was running alive with 15 and 16 y.o. girls, all dressed up and with varying amounts of make up on.
My neighbour’s brother-in-law, Dave, his sister’s husband, said to me, “I’m going across to The Crown for a drink, if the thought police come in, I’ll get nicked for sure.”

So you were standing with a man, who told you at a kids birthday party with underage girls present, that he needed to go for a drink because he was thinking about shagging them.....and you went for a drink with him?

This is fast becoming like that other Peado appreciation thread on here....and it wasn't the one involving the brown Peado's...

Just a small detail in this sad case, but he didn't shag her.....

He behaved utterly inappropriately with a very young girl, but he didn't rape her or have consensual intercourse with her.

I assume it would sort it out by having the men who applied locked up?

Actually I’ve been reminded of this, specifically from 1:18

As I say, utterly inappropriate behaviour, but given all the comments on here comparing this to the Rochdale rape gangs etc, my comment was add some perspective.

Surely him being an ugly bd would have been a red flag that the girl wasn't kosher?

My understanding is the child didn't comment on what happened and therefore we don't know what happened at his flat except the evidence he sent a friend. The whole thing is odd and I actually think the judges comments are very undermining to the victim here.

He text his mate claiming he had "nailed" her.

He was originally charged with rape. It reads as if a few charges were dropped as the girl was "unable or unwilling" to communicate.

Was the charge based purely on the text message, or was there more evidence that was undermined the girl's refusal to give evidence?

Well some people have great sympathy for a white British man being 'tricked' into being labelled a Peado by a 'fake' 19 year old.... Yet don't have any thought that girls getting drunk at kebab shops could be assumed to be over 16 also....
I find it just very telling...
The stories come out here about 14 year olds looking older than 18 but none can be found on the Asian gang thread....

seeing as you're repeating yourself I'll do likewise...

maybe you're right and there is a degree of unconscious racism there - but to draw a few differences:

1 - we're talking about individual people rather than gangs
2 - in some of the cases on here we're talking about mistaken age
3 - in the case of the gangs there seems to have been a tactic of targeting youngsters knowing they were school-children

Try reading it again pal, nowhere in that post did I say that I went for a drink with the guy who made that comment, and knowing him as I do, he was making a drôle point about all the young girls there made up to the nines, vying to look more sexy than the next kid.
There was no way that he was seriously thinking about shagging any of them.
FWIW, his 17 y.o. daughter was there too.

Bullst.

Iphones, iPads etc can all be locked down with parental locks to prevent kids from downloading apps that they shouldn't be near.

It's laziness and abdication of responsibility on the part of parents not to be using these parental controls.

Basic age checks are the website asking "Are you old enough", which is easy enough to lie about.

More effective age checks require personal identification to be made. Seems reasonable right... give some random company based in some random part of the world a copy of your passport or drivers license and have the data stolen, all because some lazy fkwits can't be asked to do the basics to look after their kids.

Sorry say what?!
"Vying to look more sexy than the next one"

Seek help....
Your 'mate' (you) said the thought police will nick him...
What thoughts was he having whist surrounded by underage girls that made him think the police wouldn't approve??

I have been to many kids parties and never worried about what the police would make of my thoughts....because I don't fantasize about fking kids!!
I think he might have been fantasying about over aged girls which he knew to be underage so he naturally left.

I think you’re trying to make something out of nothing here.

Maybe try the “people seem so outraged thread” ?

So fantasizing about underage girls then.... Like I said .....
This is why there is such a huge problem of child sexual exploitation... It's almost an acceptable thing to talk about... So long as you are white British...
