Grow up Gooner.

What you may have noticed is I’m condemning the extremes on both sides on this they are both as bad as each other and it is as I say, ugly, shame some people can’t do the same.
What part of my post isn't correct?

Why did you not just condemn todays actions without indulging in whataboutisms?
No one here, I hope , is or was condoning Jo Cox's murder.
Because I was making a wider point about how this sort of thing is getting out of hand and as I say ugly, there was no whataboutism from me, I was asked for examples so I gave them.

I also never said or implied anyone condoned Jo Cox’s murder

It’s obviously a metaphor, but a very ill chosen one

Take your pick from these reports of him saying he will take up arms if he cannot get his way

i look forward to the cries of "he did not mean it you have taken it out of context etc"

the man is a rabble rouser of the lowest order and no different to any other extremist.

He said in 2017 that if Brexit was not delivered he would 'don Khaki, pick up his rifle and join the frontline.'

May be it would have been better to have said he would put his suit back on, start a Brexit party and win the EU elections but that is an analogy for you. Anybody suggesting it is calling for armed rebellion needs his bumps read.

I was hoping for something more scurrilous. Unfortunate metaphor, however for him I imagine getting Brexit deliver really does feel like a fight.
A fight he’s made a healthy living out of!

An out of context clip that was clearly a metaphore?

Hardly "leavers threatening riots" in the post I had replied to.

And there it is, so someone stating they will don a uniform and take up arms to oppose a government that they don't like is not a threat to engage in armed rebellion these days huh?

No he didn't,he used a metaphore to him re-entering the politucal battleground and has kept true to that word.

Twist things as much as you want,he has never advocated violence, I have never heard any other leaver want violence either.

slight difference between myself saying something like that in the privacy of my home and a leading(in some people's opinion) politician preaching to his adoring supporters

one thing i think we can all agree on farrago is not stupid he knows his audience and he knows exactly what he is saying to them.

he knew exactly what he was saying when he made those remarks and he knew exactly how they would be received by the audience he was addressing
