Climate protesters block roads

This can only be a good thing as we really aren't doing enough to cut CO2.
The irony is the ULEZ is a fantastic start and shows London to be well ahead of rUK.
A good example of just how misinformed people are on the subject. Nearly 11 years ago the Climate Change Act came into force which commits us to cut our CO2 emissions by 80% by 2050. The cost is estimated at £18 billion per year, every year, until 2050. The last I heard we were spending around £10 billion a year so depending on your point of view the original was a wild over estimate or we are backsliding a little, take your pic. Either way £10 billion a year really can't be described as not doing enough. The irony is the ULEZ is a fantastic start and shows London to be well ahead of rUK.
The act was drafted by Baroness Bryony Worthington who was formerly somebody high up at Friends of the Earth so she probably knows what she's talking about when it comes to coming up with a plan to cut CO2 emissions. But apparently you and this lot in London don't think that's good enough. Fair enough I suppose, after all we have all apparently had enough of experts so what would she know anyway?
The ULEZ is about air quality and has nothing to do with CO2, indeed it possibly wouldn't be required if the government hadn't bribed everybody to drive diesels because they have lower CO2 emissions.

He only has three posting modes
"True Patriot" - used when someone (in a position of power/authority) says something negative about Brexit
"Good Post" - Used when someone on PH says something negative about Brexit
"Utter wibble" - when none of the above applies

Have you just assumed my CO2 footprint?
Outraged!
Erm, what? No, them, I meant. But that aside, wtf are they supposed to be? Outraged!
That said, feel free to be outraged, everyone else is and it would be a shame to miss out
Mind you, I'm in London over the weekend for a beer tasting thingy with a few friends and if that gets disrupted due to some hand wringers I'll be a touch annoyed.
Here's another pic of our fashion heroes on Waterloo Bridge. If you're of a certain age you might think that they look like they're justified and they're ancient.
The Guardian has a gallery of photos from today . Here's one that caught my eye:

It's all rather counter productive if their intention is really to change public opinion, images like this are more likely to put people off than recruit them to the cause. 'All that green nonsense is just for those disruptive workshy dirty hippies.'Oh well, the economics will decide the winners anyway.

At the risk of upsetting some of the more emotionally fragile members of PH...
Is it reasonable to conclude that there are a worrying amount of folk out there that are completely batst crazy? I mean, "Ban lawn mowers" etc? How can these people take themselves seriously?
What! even electric ones?Is it reasonable to conclude that there are a worrying amount of folk out there that are completely batst crazy? I mean, "Ban lawn mowers" etc? How can these people take themselves seriously?
I thought of going down there with some comedy placards to wave around but feared they would smear me in avocado then throw lentils at me.
