The biggest threat to the human race today is the idiocracy that spreads like religion via social media.

"On the plus side" indicates that you see the death PH posters as a positive thing. As to making smart arse comments about usernames - 'people who live in glass houses', and all that:-

Of course you could just be a garden ornament. biglaugh

Ooh. This is just like being back at primary school. rofl
'Angst' 'angry' etc. He objects to the tone of posts as he's indignant at anyone questioning his world point of view. It's a diversionary tactic. Probably because he doesn't want anyone looking to closely at his lifestyle. I noticed in an earlier post he questioned someone's suitability to be a parent. There's always an authoritarian steak running through lib lefts, suspect it's normally because they aren't popular unless amongst thier own, or they were the ugly kids at school.

may I recommend rationing food the amount of gas and electric consumed in the production transportation and cooking of the stuff could make a huge difference and make people healthier . Ban smoking whilst they are at it.
banning all pets might also make a decent contribution. no one actually needs pets, they are a luxury and the growing global pet industry must have a large carbon footprint.

biggrin i have two dogs (and a cat) that i believe provide around 50% of atmospheric methane going by the smell they let out this evening. i did say to my wife not to give them the off cuts from the gammon joint but she wouldn't listen.

Feel free to look as closely as you like at my lifestyle.

Car valeting/detailing. Those have to be up there with poodle pampering as the most worthless
businesses.

Parenting is a privilege and responsibility. It is not a right.

So anything topic related to add?

They rarely do listen - it's part of the programming biggrin

I had to go home today to help her close the garage door due to a series of text messages

Mrs BC "Garage door is alarming and I can't shut it"
BC "You've left something in the opening and it's telling you it can't shut because it will hit something"
Mrs BC "There is nothing in the way - I've not touched or moved anything and the alarm is screaming"
BC "well something is in the opening"
Mrs BC "nothing is the opening and the alarm is screaming"

I drive home - walk up to the garage door (mildly bleeping it's disapproval) and put the extension lead back behind the sensor

Mrs BC "You could have told me to do that"

Resists reply "I fking did you retard"

BC "that's OK you weren't to know as you hadn't moved it from where it was"

Trust me I am regretting it - it seemed like such a good idea at the time............

It is however typical of the "lovable but challenging Mrs BC" (long story cut very short - she lost her phone and tried to find it using "find my phone" - complaining to me that it won't find it - I found it very difficult to explain that if the mobile data wasn't on and it wasn't connected to a known wifi hotspot it wouldn't know where it was.............. This took some considerable time

It took me at least 20 years to prove to her that drug dogs weren't addicted to drugs!!!!

I'm in London for work today and tomorrow and the place is absolutely littered with Extinction Rebellion stickers. Oxford Street and Kings Cross tube stations have them plastered across most adverts and I've seen them stuck to lamp posts, buses, bus stops and bins all over the city.

Isn't' this more than just a bit stupid/hypocritical? A waste of paper and also I'm assuming people will have to clean these up using some kind of chemicals.

Can I continue?
Nick lives on the south coast doesn't he, is it Eastbourne?
If so, the Bowie song 'Laughing Gnome' really must be about Nick! biglaugh
Reading and geography not your strong points?
Did you not note I followed it with a question mark? Something you rarely use, but for once have on this occasion!

I couldn't give a toss where you live Nick so it probably passed me by. Actually, it has. I still have no idea. Unfortunately, I skim your posts because to read them in full would be too much.
Anyway, Eastbourne may well be in 'East' Sussex but when I drove from Poole to Bexhill (past Eastbourne!) at the end of Feb, I did so by driving along the 'south coast'.

But then my part of very rural full of loaded moneybags pop stars and celebs Oxfordshire is to the 'west', but according to 'experts' we apparently live in the South East!

One well-heeled very nice 'star' here questioned this very fact that we reside in the South East during a local quiz and (foolishly) along with other locals I'd backed him up. It was actually here on PHs that I found out we are indeed in the South East. Many moons ago they said we were the South Midlands, then we were in the Home Counties. So, who knows? Who cares Nick? Not me!
