Why don’t we do everything via VC? Why don’t we never leave our homes? Because VC is not really a brilliant way of connecting with people. When you’re trying to get a message across, face to face is more effective. We use it incessantly in my industry and it’s a very poor compromise vs face to face.
Of course it is, and that’s the point.

People travel because it is a better option. What is laughable is that these environmentalists think that people travelling across the Atlantic on a multi million pound carbon fibre confection is somehow saving the planet.

Either

"Absolutely! Much better to use the product of the carbon plant that provides us with its sustainable carbon fibre bounty."

or

"laugh Good one!"

I'm really not sure. smile

Have you not heard of carbon offsetting? You dry dock a wooden ship, smash it up, burn it, what's left? CARBON, you then make a new one out of carbon. Duh.

What do they want? 1 child policy? No foreign travel? No vehicles? Dramatic reduction in consumerism?

They couldn't manage it.

Clean air is not CO2 reduction. Carbon dioxide is not pollution.

Yep, making it out of wood would be better. Making something out of load of carbon fibre and fibreglass that can only transport one person is not "environmentally friendly".

Wouldn’t be surprised to see them end up with a mass suicide (obviously not the leaders)

It's a bit tricky for the other 44 million a year that cross the Atlantic in a more conventional way too, especially those that can't afford to take a month out to do it.

Article about the prosecution of the arresters on Waterloo bridge, does a conditional discharge show on a criminal record check?

Put them all on a lifetime No Fly list. Surely they'd welcome it?

Foopin hell the idiots are out today
Ever heard of ‘economy of scale’
The set up and tooling costs for 44 million CF yaughts would easily be amortised over such a big production run, and as for the long journey- people can do video conferencing on board

Given that XR would have a higher proportion of vegans / veggies - to what extent have XR taken into consideration the Carbon / greenhouse gas effect of excessive flatulence ?
