YAUGHT is a legitimate spelling of yacht.
It’s a redundant spelling of the word that I use as it reminds me of being a young lad

At least certain parts of the media are finally picking up on the hypocrisy of the climate crusaders, even if it is The Sun.

Noticed the latest BBC reality TV show ‘Heartbreak Holiday’ features island-hopping youngsters recovering from broken hearts in Greece... thought the BBC of all places would be more climate conscious rolleyes

It's not just the Sun, the Mail are running a similar story.

Poor old Harry, once loved by all for his seeming normality and fun, he gets shacked up with an American actress; whom many hadn't really heard of till they got together, who seems to be using her new found fame, position and American-Ness, to preach to all and sundry, is dragging him along for the ride with the usual hypocrisy and distinct lack of self awareness, resulting in him rapidly losing his popularity.

As it’s been an obsolete spelling for hundreds of years (last commonly used in the 17th century) you must be some age.......

Oh and the crew are flying over to sail gretas boat back

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/9739595/greta-thunbe...

Meanwhile how is she travelling round Europe meeting all these politicians? Is she walking.

Sheeple buying these publicity stunts pushed by the media goebels would be amazed

The boat was going anyway I suppose (?)

I am curious as to how she is getting back though?

Swim/ walk on water / magic carpet?

oh wait.....
She's off to a another climate conference in Chile in November, so needs to get back to Europe from there somehow.

The interesting if never explicitly mentioned facet of this trip is just how long travelling takes currently when being "zero carbon", trips that are mere hours today by high carbon means go back to being a weeks or months. Globalised trade and globalization couldn't function with such long trip times, the current climate change lobby are in effect pushing an anti globalization agenda through the means required to reduce carbon emissions.

I think Prince Harry has got a bet with his uncle Airmiles Andy, who was also partial to an unnecessary flight or two, to see who can make their popularity plummet the most.

At least Airmiles Andy didn't preach to the plebs about it though, he just got on with it.

silly

It's what the science predicts? It's the trajectory we're on? Was expecting reams of citations at that point but no paper refs. Big shock.

I'm ignoring the XR OTT stuff as I think blocking London and causing massive pollution is fking stupid but I've done a couple of courses run by universities on this subject. There are free ones on FutureLearn:

https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/extinctions-pa...
https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/climate-change...
https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/tipping-points...

They're a bit more measured in their approach ie not shouting at people but it certainly makes you think. If you want to argue that it's all made up, then do engage the professors and researchers.

The thing for me is that it really doesn't matter as I don't have kids and probably won't so it'll all really kick off after I'm gone. <searches on AT for Brabus V12s>
