This time they are blocking the A38 near Bristol Airport in protest against the expansion plans, these are the same people who have enjoyed 20 years of cheap flights all over Europe on budget airlines....
They're brave - getting in between Bristolians and their holidays !

Bristol is a soft touch and they have lots of support here, maybe not direct support but lots of sympathetic middle class types whom they won’t inconvenience. The Council then exacerbate the situation and create a nonsense job on nearly £40k pa!
I noticed this morning that the Lord Mayor's limousine is no longer a magnificent black Daimler Sovereign, but a grey, uber-spec Prius. Looks daft with the Mayor's pennant on the 'bow'.

The airport protest is today I think. The XR protest in Bristol tomorrow is by the BBC building I believe. As if Bristol isn't pissed off enough with them after there antics last time.

They did have a lot of sympathy if not actual support last time... they only blew it with the tv interview following the guy who missed an opportunity to see his father in hospital before the father passed away, but they will have learnt not to put a globe trotter with a Facebook album full of overseas trips front and centre again.....

You’re right though, Lulsgate today and this protest tomorrow is at ITV studios, BBC on whiteladies road and Aardman animations of all places, no idea what Gromit has done though....

Seems reasonable. That trip to the moon he & Wallace went on just to get cheese far eclipses all the XR mob's trips to Asia & South America in terms of needless emissions.

Team flying out to the US to retrieve Greta's yacht. But don't worry, they will pay off their sins with the offsets.

Wait, so how is Saint Greta getting back home if the yacht is being returned without her?

Swimming? Microlight? Wizard of Oz hot air balloon?

Or are the Americans stuck with her forever now.

Not sure how anyone could watch this and not see a child being exploited

Yep, saw this yesterday on the news and felt very uncomfortable, she is clearly being exploited and used; how uncomfortable did she look!

She needs school, regular treatment for her selective mutism, OCD and eating disorder. She needs a well balanced life.

Instead she’s being treated as a show pony by those with an agenda to further.

Can't get my head around it. How on earth are they allowed to exploit a child like this?

Madness.

The lentil loonies should be ashamed of themselves.

The four day shutdown of Manchester has started .. or has it

They’ve dragged a big boat pulled by a diesel van into the street and there’s a dozen or so soap dodgers

But, it’s about to piss down .. I mean really piss down for the next couple of days

Let’s see how it goes

I guess the van won't get a ticket for waiting in the box junction because it's turning right.

smile

Naturally the middle class hippies' employers, in their carbon neutral job sectors, are very understanding of prolonged absences.

Hang on...

hippy

Q for Mancunians, are the protesters still parking their plastic-free unicycles and pogo sticks thoughtfully?

How can they afford to be not working and who the hell looks after their kids when they are away for these long periods.
Where do they stay and what are they doing for meals and toilets ? Surely the middle class can’t go without their luxuries no matter how they are saving the world.
