They recalled the guide....

"When the Guardian first asked police about the document, officials said they would review the guidance to clarify their position on Extinction Rebellion. But following further questions, counter-terrorism police confirmed it had been circulated to “statutory partners” and had now been recalled. They said they now accepted that the protest group was not extremist."

Having said that, I found this paragraph a pretty accurate summing up of Extinction Rebellion...

"Explaining why it is considered a threat, it states: “Anti-establishment philosophy that seeks system change underlies its activism; the group attracts to its events school-age children and adults unlikely to be aware of this. While non-violent against persons, the campaign encourages other law-breaking activities.”

Oh happy day. This has made my weekend. My faith in the forces of law and order is thus restored.

Exactly. To use a saying that I think was in the bible, these people are quick to criticize the splinter in another's eye, but fail to recognize the baulk of timber in their own.

I like to do my part but when you hear of people having 3+ children these days, I do think, what's the point in even trying?

Apparently there is going to be a new save the planet, and its climate kit, being issued to all the Extinction Rebellion protesters.
The `Gents' kit consists of two Engineering bricks, with an instruction leaflet showing how to mount their nuts in the frog of the brick, whilst the `Ladies' kit consist of a tube of super glue, with a diagram of where to apply the glue between the knees! smile

From Twitter, but I could not agree more:

James Ball on Twitter said:
Green opposition to HS2 remains one of the most incoherent and idiotic political positions in the UK, and it will be absolutely catastrophic if their coalition with the NIMBYs succeeds and gets it cancelled.

Shell's Aberdeen office currently under protest by XR this morning:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-north-east-...

And again their purple boat was towed into place using a diesel powered vehicle, a Ford Ranger this time rolleyes

I see there are the usual quotes from protestors with children saying action needs to be taken etc - like what, going back in time to pay you a visit with a couple of housebricks you hypocrite?
