obstructing or disrupting a person engaged in lawful activity
Is that part of the aggravated trespass laws...
Not sure, IANAL, but there's this:

Section 241 of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 states that a person commits an offence who, with a view to compelling another person to abstain from doing (or to do) any act which that person has a legal right to do (or abstain from doing), wrongfully and without legal authority watches or besets the house or other place where that person resides, works, carries on business or happens to be, or the approach to any such house or place (etc)

That's more damaging to them than a shoeing/truncheoning. Good work!!

Govt has opened a consultation on 2035 ICE ban.

https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/consul...

There is a lot of us on pistonheads and a lot of drivers out there. If we were to send feedback opposing the ICE ban then we might get something out of it in our favour. At least try it! It doesn’t take long. Oppose the ban or the date of it and what’s included.

Interesting so all these protests you see at university or other places trying to stop certain speakers doing a talk. If they do anything that stop or prevents it going ahead or block people going they a breaking this law. Nice to know, and I hope the police use it more often.

The fking hypocrisy of these s is unreal!

I'm on one of their faceache groups (To keep an eye on what the idiots are planning)
And one of them was showing off a Tshirt in a thread so I mentioned that I make Tshirts as a sideline to which one commented "what paints do you use" to which I replied "acrylic paint or HTV vinyl"...."oil base paints are bad" came the reply

Yesterday there was a post from one of them showing a banner they had created to which there was much congratulation so I asked them "what paint have you used?"
"artists’ acrylic" came the reply.

slow clap

In other news, there was a bit on the front page of the Sunday Times saying that in effect these "Carbon offsetting" and "carbon credits" were a big con

Well, I never.

I'm devastated. And there was me thinking that handing over digital 'indulgences' to spivs was the answer to global meltdown laugh

Sorry, it was the Saturday Telegraph.

We normally only get a paper on Sunday and it was a few days ago I read it.

I have a mate I vaguely knew at school who got pretty rich, very quick trading them. I know not the details and neither do I wish to, so never enquired further. Just hope it was all legit and, if so, respect to him., but...

I remember first hearing of these when we had a phone call at work (heavy industry). Told the caller “fk off and get a job rather than preying on the gullible” as I thought it was a ridiculous scam, hadn’t realised it was real rofl

Heard an interesting podcast about climate terminology. With 'revolution' being avoided to make change seem more subtle and palatable. The term denier also being replaced with sceptic, the former having much more unsavoury connotations. Of course the stance of some of those interviewed was that anything that downplayed the impact and terms which imply any part of this being natural and detract from this being a mad-made phenomenon was utterly preposterous, while of course the Guardian are correct to refer to climate emergency rather than change and global heating over warming.

To celebrate International Women's Day a group of empowered women XR enthusiasts took the original and previously unheard of action of blocking Waterloo Bridge while exposing their breasts earlier today.

To save on paper, they wrote their very powerful slogans such as 'climate murder', 'climate justice', 'climate inequality' and 'climate rape' across their naked chests.

In an overly easy round of protest Bingo, XR London released a statement saying:

"We are here to raise the alarm as to what is happening to our sisters around the world and highlight that the climate and ecological emergency is your issue - it will affect you as a woman if our government doesn't take urgent action starting now.

"Furthermore, when natural disasters hit, which is happening more and more as a result of climate change, women are exposed to sexual violence in evacuation camps. Women who take action to protect their land from destruction are also targeted with sexual violence as a result.

"The climate crisis is a women's crisis and climate justice is gender justice."
