It's ony a matter of time before these idiots cause someone to snap and people get badly hurt, or worse. ie people being run over by an irate motorist or someone geting a proper kicking.

Stopping working people getting to work doesn't win friends or make people think ' oh, they might be right, ill check it out when i get home' funny that.

This country is a total joke.
I mean we can dissect it any which way, (why they aren’t got rid of), but fundamentally ^ that.

The limited clips do appear to show the police standing around watching.

Why cant they just drag them out of the way ?
You'll probably hear something about lack of resources & government cuts.
Plenty of police all stood around stopping the traffic from running the idiots over, they don't appear to be glued down or fixed to anything. I really don't see why they can't be dragged to the side, handcuffed to a barrier and let traffic proceed.
There's a HUGE amount of training done by XR to their 'Action Groups' (AGs are the way XR avoide legal scrutiny, they encourage individuals to set up AGs and take full responsibility for their actions rather than have any one core group be resonsible) in ways to avoid arrest, then they liase with the police in a very specific manner.
Just the online advice for AGs is extensive: https://extinctionrebellion.uk/act-now/resources/a... and there's a lot of in-person training which goes way further than anything they put online.

There are also a lot of group training courses and then, if they are arrested, they have a ton of legal training https://extinctionrebellion.uk/act-now/resources/l... support groups https://extinctionrebellion.uk/act-now/resources/a... and all manner of information for Tabby and Tarquin to lap up as they decide how best to waste the trust fund... https://extinctionrebellion.uk/act-now/resources/
Is there anything in the training telling them what to do when they get their s kicked in? Or will they just scweam and scweam for Mummy?

Someone’s going to run them over soon. Didn’t a few of them get yanked down off a train last year by angry commuters? It’ll only escalate.

That was in canning town probably the wrong area to pick. Westminster, west end and the city sure, but canning town, tower hamlets, Tottenham, they are likely going to higer hurt.

One day one of them.will be hit by a car sadly an I mean sadly as someone just wanting to get to work will have their life ruined

I read something about the activists getting funding based on how many of their group get arrested - so the the Police don't want to encourage them.

The police need their Chiefs to tell then to either stay away long enough for Joe Public to move them, or to go straight in and move them.

You cannot blame the officers on the ground when they are not sure if they have the backing to take action or not. Regardless of your view on the issue of climate, these broke a specific law. When the truck drivers did this to protest about high fuel taxation, they soon steamed in and got them off the roads.

I don't think the country is a joke, just our leaders who allow this

Indeed, IANAL, but wouldn't that be some version of "conspiracy to commit..."?
