These poor bds only made £30 or £40. So we can conclude that even drug dealers are suffering in this climate of austerity.

At the lower levels you might not even make minimum wage and that with all the risks of street level drug dealing.

Of course drug dealers aren’t known for their probity but I suspect this is more the case that he was claiming £40 a day’s dealing as opposed to a £40 margin per £1k.

Either way the numpties in question are never going to be Pablo Escobar .......
What was it.... $40million a day?

At the higher levels it might be better paid, but it can’t be a very relaxing life

When he was eventually brought before the courts in 2007, he was deemed by a judge to be “at the top of the organisation ladder for the importation of drugs into this country” and was said to have raked in £12.5m from his crimes.

Officers simultaneously searched Da Silva Antiques in Humber Street, Hull, and Vanguard Antiques in North Bar Within, Beverley, on Wednesday, with police later confirming that a man had been arrested on suspicion of money laundering offences.

Just a day later, following further behind the scenes investigations, police confirmed Pettitt was back behind bars after it was found he had breached a Financial Reporting Order.
