Personally, as much as I feel that she may have exhibited past behaviours of a racist, hypocrite and is incompetent in her role etc, I find this type of reporting in MSM inflammatory across a number of possible spectrums and quite unsavoury.
Exactly what harm was she doing to anyone else? Divisive reporting and potentially quite intrusive and typical MSM trivia.
Attack her politics. Attack her capabilities. Yes she was breaking the law. But let the lady get on with her life and let the law enforce any transgressions she makes. This is another example of unnecessary trial by media IMHO.
We should let her go round and round on the circle line drinking 24x7. She will do a lot less damage than doing her normal job.
Agreed. I am not keen on her politics at all (though she is right on some things), but a lot of the attacks on her in the media border on racism and / or bullying, and I condemn them completely. That has everything to do with her politics and the office she holds not her colour. She get crap for being thick, not for being black.
Corbyn gets just as much crap and he's wealthy, white and privately educated.
Other black MP's don't get the same crap, because they don't say and do stupid things.

This. Absolutely this.
There’s clear evidence, she’s admitted it so she should be prosecuted.
If it was any other member of the public it wouldn't have registered with the person who took the picture. So, while it obviously demonstrates poor judgement, I don't think she should be prosecuted. There’s clear evidence, she’s admitted it so she should be prosecuted.
However it was 1pm and she was on her own.
Plus an M&S mojito.

people get caught randomly all the time for things. the law is the law whether you're white black pink or purple. you get caught you get prosecutedHowever it was 1pm and she was on her own.

If she's got any sense (wishful thinking I know) she would offer to pay the paltry fine saying she's subject to the same laws as everyone else and shouldn't get special treatment.
It would be forgotten about in days.
As things stand, I can see it dragging on, with people calling for her to be punished and her getting indignant and playing her numerous persecution cards.

Do you? I bet in the vast majority of cases it gets taken off you with some words of advice."Good to apologise
That said, TFL’s policy is to initially engage with drinker, dispose of drink & NOT prosecute"

She is the Shadow Home Secretary .. and it’s not beyond the realms of possibilities that she could soon be THE Home Secretary
The MP responsible for Law and Order in the UK
Shows complete lack of judgement and unsuitability for the role she is in

£500 says if it was Farage NPE would be saying how great it was he was showing up how stupid the law was; what's wrong with a quiet, discrete drink on the way home; not harming anyone; political correctness gone mad I tell you etc.
