If she was white there wouldn't be 10 pages, on top of that what you guys are saying here just makes race hate casual and mainstream. Perhaps a conversation about race is what this country really needs
As someone else so eloquently put it:"Don't feed him.
Look at his posting history.
He posts something to provoke and then flounces."

What a load of bks.....How big is that chip on your shoulder, do you struggle to carry it around or are you built like a weightlifter?
No conversation required about race or colour except from her side......unlike most of us here, her history in thoughts and words from her own mouth confirm she’s a total racist bigot.

I dont flounce, there is literaly no point in having a conversation with 98% of angry white dudes on on here, conversation is what you should have a with yourslef. And wtf listens to radio 4 ? "Don't feed him.

How do you know what race and sex everyone on PH is? You've managed to be both racist and sexist in one sentence!Tryke3 said:

About 10 million people, apparently.Johnnytheboy said:
You obviously don't listen to Radio 4, they seem to talk about very little else but 'identity'.
This thread is about DA identifying as a lunchtime public transport solo drinker.
Although it has begun to lean toward her time and place for consuming alcohol, (no doubt to portray her as an alcoholic IMO), I thought that the thread was about her ignoring, and thereby breaking a TFL byelaw, prohibiting the consumption of alcohol anywhere on TFL trains, buses and trams. This thread is about DA identifying as a lunchtime public transport solo drinker.
A law that no matter how petty some posters may see it as, is a law nonetheless, and one which a London MP should reasonably be presumed to be aware of.

Exactly.
If she had been using her phone driving and then reporters would that be bullying or racism?
Like it or not she’s in a position of (some) importance and should act and respect the law accordingly.
No it wouldn’t. In breaking that law she would be putting herself an others in danger. Apples and oranges I am afraid. Try another analogy. If she had been using her phone driving and then reporters would that be bullying or racism?

I am not suggesting that she is above the law. I am suggesting that the Sun is playing to the gallery over next to nothing.
I haven't seen the Sun's coverage, but to me her behaviour doesn't pass the "what if everyone did it" test - if you entered a commuter train in the afternoon and it was full of middle aged people drinking alcoholic drinks straight from the can would you take a seat or find another carriage?

It's only 3 pages
DA is a racist but I'm happy to have a conversation about that I'm not sure she is
11 pages on my phone? DA is a racist but I'm happy to have a conversation about that I'm not sure she is

Can we have another day of outrage and indignation over something utterly utterly trivial please?
Honestly, there's no irony at all.
How about MP Kate Osamor still employing her drug dealer son as her chief of staff, even though she lied about knowing of his case.Honestly, there's no irony at all.

Honestly, I really would get some perspective.

Well let's say it was a can of Coke or something and, rather than throw it away when she finished, she dropped it on the floor. Not the end of the world, but not behaviour you'd really expect from an adult.

If an individual was behaving in the way that the photo suggested, sipping from a can whilst quietly checking her phone, contrary to the Sun’s interpretation and language of “swigging and downing”, then yes, I would have no problem sitting next to her whilst she consumed either coke or canned mojito. I sit next to folks doing exactly that quite frequently if I have the misfortune to get on a train.I haven't seen the Sun's coverage, but to me her behaviour doesn't pass the "what if everyone did it" test - if you entered a commuter train in the afternoon and it was full of middle aged people drinking alcoholic drinks straight from the can would you take a seat or find another carriage?
If however she rolled onto the train, swaying, staggering and belching loudly whilst blind drunk with a bottle of water to consume on the train, I may have a problem if she sat next to me, ready to be an idiot and puke everywhere. But that didn’t appear to be the case, not even from the Sun’s obvious effort at spin.
Just had a thought. Perhaps Diane thinks “Downing Street” is something quite different and that is why she is so keen for Labour to get there?
Apropos of widening the debate... I remember when I used to get the Greater Anglia express out of Liverpool Street there would be a little 'gang' of besuited captains of industry who all had their spot in the buffet car where they would drink excessively until they reached their destination. I saw one chap down 5 tins of Stella by the time he reached Colchester. I hope someone was picking him up at the station...
The 09:01 Clapham Junction to Shepherds Bush takes 12 minutes and costs £1.70 on an oyster card.
The 09:06 Clapham Junction to Shepherds Bush takes 12 minutes and costs £1.70 on an oyster card.
On one of those you are legally allowed to drink alcohol. On the other you are not.
Now tell there isn't a more ridiculous law in the land?
