But none in primary schools. Until now.
So you have none. I thought so.

The race thing is a non starter, this has nothing to do with any specific religion or skin colour. Plenty of white catholic’s agree with this.

I am also intrigued how teaching the principles of the 2010 Equality Act isn’t teaching British Law. But I won’t hold my breath for an answer that makes sense.

For those saying it’s a minority opinion to support gay rights - I think it’s something like 80-85% of people support gay marriage in Britain.

It is mostly religious groups that drag down that statistic.
If you've got 85% of the UK's support, why do you feel the need to educate the children via government policy?

That's pretty good going seeing as only 1.8% of the population are LGBT.

More people didn't answer than claim they were LGBT.

I often find using 7 year old statistics is useful.
You mean 7 year olds?

From your link:

An estimated 2.0% of the population (1.1 million people) identified themselves as lesbian, gay or bisexual (LGB). As shown in Table 1, this comprised 1.3% identifying as gay or lesbian and 0.7% identifying as bisexual. The percentage in 2017 remains at similar levels to 2016.

A further 0.6% identified as “other”, meaning that they did not consider themselves to fit into the heterosexual or straight, bisexual, gay or lesbian categories. This proportion has increased since 2012 (0.3%). A further 4.1% refused or did not know how, to identify themselves.

I'm still not seeing 6%. People refusing is akin to spoiling a ballot. You can't claim either way.

Would be interested in seeing the results of various posters from this: https://www.idrlabs.com/kinsey-scale/test.php
I doubt many people would score exclusively hetro, there are 2 leading questions:

Yes I prefer going out for a drink with my male mates, but that's because I can talk cars, women and general bloke stuff. I'm crap with women, why would I socialise with them.

And, of course we can probably mostly tolerate the idea of same-sex sex. Just not with me.

I think this has been generating more heat than light for some time.

Jim - is this a problem for you?

If only it was just a book. Not a government backed programme with targets, measures and reviews by an independent body enforcing a specific minority point onto minors.
