Only half a page of comments... it seems my decision to watch naked attraction was the correct one...
I’m not allowed to post in that thread as I mocked a transsexual participant ..... some PH didn’t like it a snowflake. I tried to set up a second naked attraction thread and in the title freedom to talk bluntly about TS that was closed...urrghbomb said:
F. Bruce keeps harassing Brandon into responding ( whilst he is talking). Maybe his red eye is where she poked him with her pen.
Really don't like the way FB runs QT. She should stick to the Antiques Roadshow. But Brandon Lewis always comes across as a snide to me. Unnecessarily evasive and condescending (and I'm a Tory voter).
Only caught the last half of this. Won't bother again. Pointless show. Dumb arsed comments from much of the audience.
Brexitcast no better.
The BBC seems lost without Brexit catastrophes to write/talk about. Let's hope David Attenborough doesn't pop his clogs as they will truly be devoid of content!
I think QT has reached a low point. It just isn't worth watching any more, because:
- the panellists just use it as an excuse for a prepared speech - see Clive Lewis and that Miatta woman this week. They rarely answer the question.
- the audience are either terminally dim, and spout nonsense, or have an obvious agenda, again irrelevant to the question - see the "Jeremy was vilified by the right wing media" woman this week
- Fiona Bruce is poor - she interrupts some (Brandon Lewis this week) and allows others (Clive Lewis) to ramble on forever. She doesn't control things when they start talking at the same time as each other
- there is too much political point-scoring, or political game playing. For example, Brandon "I'm too important to divulge anything" Lewis trying to sound like a keeper of secrets, when really he's just being pompous
- they have a habit of inviting celebrity nobodies on, who are just irritating. Nish Kumar for example, what a waste of space.
I concur with most of the feedback regarding QT, I find politicians regurgitating the Party line as a pre-amble before any attempt is made to answer the question as puerile, it may have always been so but Fiona Bruce’s inability or her desire ( politeness ? ) to curtail it makes for a very soft / woolly format.
I like Brexitcast, it is pretty much unscripted and has the feel of discussion down the pub ( albeit one serving olives on the tables ) , reminds me a bit of Tiswas, just waiting for Katya to be asked how you get into such tight trousers .....you can start by buying me a gin and tonic. That aside and the fact that Katya tends to wear dresses it does give a view from the other side of the channel.
The discussion this week about how Europe will be taking a layered approach to the trade talks with their priorities being discussed first, but made to look like a victory for Boris was a realistic appraisal, as was the awareness that fishing rights are an economic side show and that the UK will be sold down the river to appease the French and Spanish.

Thursday 16th January 10.35pm
On the panel this week we have:
Shami Chakrabarti – In charge of Whitewash at Labour (and a woman I find annoyingly interesting)
Helen Whately – Conservative
Alyn Smith- SNP
Madeline Grant- Telegraph Journalist
Laurence Fox the actor from Lewis previously married to Billie Piper. He seems not to be the politically correct type and has cast criticism of Harry and Meghan before now. He has also been very critical of actors who bigged up the Extinction Rebellion protests
It's rom Liverpool so I suspect the Tory woman will be in for a very rough ride.
Lawrence Fox could be interesting too. I can imagine the SNP chap going on about one thing only
Shami will just be "tory cuts" but may be put on the spot a bit about the Election result

This is grim
Shammi looks like she is nursing a hangover. the Tory woman looks like its first day at school and she has wet her knickers but doesn't want to tell the teacher . As per usual Fiona Bruce is talking over folk especially the Torry
SNP guy wants to be the environmentalist friend and says he flies as little as possible
The journalist talks some sense but is off at breakneck speed presumable so she can get as much out before Brucey interrupts her
