again, we have an 'influencer' on the panel, and I've never heard of her. Comedians, jugglers, influencers, poets........why do they insist on having these people on the panel ? They bring absolutely nothing to the discussion, and certainly don't influence me.

Just because you haven’t heard of them, and probably aren’t prepared to listen to what they say, does not exclude them from having an opinion.

I'd much prefer to have a political person on the panel who can give an opinion of their party. There are plenty of them about. I am prepared to listen to their opinions - everyone has an opinion. Even me !

Why? all they doo is toe the party line. At least some, unfortunately not enough, of the non-politicians don't mince their words.

I think the idea of bringing non-politicos on the programme is that there is a wider variety of views - Con/Lab//Lib/SNP/Green/UKIP etc grey middle aged men and women chanting carefully prepared slogans at each other and not answering any actual questions is dull as dish water. MPs get plenty of opportunities to spout their views.

You know you've reached peak dumbing down when BBCQT has an "influencer" on the panel.

Why?
Because they are the people who have been voted in by the public, and they are expected to respond to the questions put to them by the audience. If we remove the politicians from the panel we may as well have just have a discussion in the pub. As I have been advised - everyone has an opinion. I like to hear how the political parties will deal with the issues raised.

And Fiona Bruce trumpets the fact that there will be a comedian on next week’s ‘episode’. Can’t wait for their pearls of wisdom.

But you never hear 'how', they just speak in banal platitudes. The 'how' is NEVER answered.

You're right there. Maybe more Captains of Industry should appear then, as they are actually doing the hard core business, and are not shy in sharing their opinions on HOW to get stuff done.

Until the people who the 12yo's aspire to be changes, things will stay the same, regardless of how good the teachers are.

Drink two fingers of your favourite tipple for every mention of Wigan from Ms Nandy. You should sleep fairly well.
