You seem to have fallen Hook, Line, and Sinker for Trump’s fake narrative.

Firstly Trump pretends that any criticism of HIM is criticism of “America” which means that the non-thinking “Patriots” automatically attack his critics without bothering to understand what the criticism is about.

Secondly, if YOU think YOUR Government has the wrong policies, the wrong principles, is behaving inappropriately, or carrying out acts which it shouldn’t do then, as a citizen of that country you have the absolute RIGHT to point this out. It is not “biting the hand that feeds you” and criticising Government Policy isn’t anything like criticising your “Country”.

To try and put it into a UK context - if Corbyn suddenly decides that everybody’s arning over £40k should be taxed at 99%, or that we subcontract MI5 and MI6 to the KGB, or that we contract the facilities management service at Aldermaston to the Chinese Govt, it would be our duty to fight against this, even if Corbyn called us “Unpatriotic” or “Traitors”
Isaac Hunt's explanation seems to be "Lots of Americans think X so it must be OK and everyone else just has to put up with it."

Can you see that it looks dismissive to refer to her as 'the Omar girl'?

Could you please give some examples of why she 'hates her country'?

No, not even slightly. I don't know this persons full name, I only know AOC because its been abbreviated by the press. I also find it quite rich that in a thread where you have called Trump all the names under the sun, you pull me up on something that isn't even offensive.

Please see Trump's comments for the reasons, they are his and his sides comments.

Trumps tactic is very similar to those accused of being self hating Jews in Israel.

I agree with the poster above. Fervent nationalism (the inbred daughter of patriotism) is alive and well in the US. In the land of the free it is anything but. America has always had a very dark underbelly, a pity as it is a great country in many ways, but it is in decline.

The Romans gave the people games. Nothing changes especially in a country that prefers binary choices.

America is in the final days as a super power.

'the Omar girl' is called Ilhan Omar, and she is a US Representative for Minnesota. She has quite an interesting life history if you have any interest in educating yourself.

Yes, I have used various less than complimentary words to describe Donald Trump. There is a reason for that, however, which is that I sincerely believe he is one of the worst people on the planet and is doing it colossal damage.

Which particular statements do think show Ilhan Omar 'hates her country'?

To think anything else must ipso facto, be Unamerican. When's Trump going to find himself a new McCarthy?

(Doubtless with less attention to reds under the bed this time).

I think theres a difference between shouting out to someone in the street 'go back to where you came from' because of their looks and saying it to people that seemingly hate the country they are in
There is. But:
1. They don't hate the country. Far from it. They are trying to reform it for the better. (As opposed to say... actively making it worse...)
2. For 3 out of 4 of them, they CAME FROM THE USA.
It is most telling that he has reserved his (paraphrasing) “go back where you came from” calls for 4 women with brown skin. There are plenty of examples of white, mainly male,(mainly democrats) criticising the way the US is currently run but none received the go back calls.

This, for me, is why it’s indisputably racist.

It staggers me that people are willing to give him the benefit of the doubt when it's immediately obvious that the reason they're getting targeted is because they've got brown skin and heritage from places not in Western Europe.

Jesus Christ. How hard can it be to get 'United Kingdom' right?
One of my phones regularly changes "you" to "yiu" for some reason. Doesn't seem to be something worthy of discussion if it is a simple typo.
Are you tweeting to 10's of millions of people and a representative of a major government?
It hasn't been a Major govt since John retired. wink

So I point out that many debates on immigration issues are silenced or derailed by shouts of racism and your response is to imply that anyone who disagrees with you is racist.

I've got to be honest, I care about her backstory as much as I care about 99% of all politician backstories hehe

You have to understand, I'm an onlooker. I don't have a horse in this race, I get you are staunchly anti-trump and thats fine. You think I have reasons to think Omar hates her country, all I am saying is that Trump is saying she hates her country and that flies well with his side.

The things I have seen headlines for:

Omar marries brother
Omar likens US Army to ISIS
Omar defends Al Qaeda
Omar blah blah blah

Everything I read in any MSM I take with a truckload of salt. Be it CNN or FOX, they are all just exploiting the situation for the $$$$$

Yes, she is being bullied by that Trump boy.

Can't see why they have a problem with what you said. Sounds totally normal to me.

Mmm, okay, You are interested enough to post here, but not interested enough to research even a little bit those stories you have mentioned? Because, to put it plainly, they are bks. Do you care about that? Do you care at all that trump has lied over 10,000 times since taking office, even as an 'onlooker'?

This is something I am really curious about because I find it genuinely perplexing that anyone who has a reasonable understanding of the sheer ishness of trump wouldn't be hopping mad about it.
