The conversion of America's military in to a mercenary force continues.
And at the same time stops military exercises that Japan complained about.

BANGKOK (AP) — U.S. Defense Secretary Mark Esper said Sunday the United States and South Korea have indefinitely postponed a joint military exercise in an “act of goodwill” toward North Korea.

The move comes even as Japan’s defense minister, whose country feels threatened by repeated North Korean missile launches, told Esper “no one could be optimistic about” changing the North’s behavior.

Mike Pence for President. Yay.
its interesting if Jennifer Williams is just being honest or if Pence is making a play for Prez.
Pence hasn't defended her, sent out his press secretary to say "Jennifer is a State Department employee."

Emails reviewed by @WSJ show that in the lead-up to the Trump-Zelensky call, Sondland kept officials including Mulvaney apprised of the push for investigations. Mulvaney replied that he would schedule the call

“I talked to Zelensky just now. He is prepared to receive Potus’ call. Will assure him that he intends to run a fully transparent investigation and will ‘turn over every stone,’” Sondland wrote on July 19.

Mulvaney responded: "I asked NSC to set it up for tomorrow."

CNN are claiming "FAKE NEWS" about trumps trip to hospital, saying the hospital staff wasn’t notified that Trump was coming, which means that the visit was not scheduled in advance and that the entire annual physical would only have taken four hours, so theres no reason to only get part done.

President Donald Trump's visit to Walter Reed on Saturday did not follow the protocol of a routine presidential medical exam, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Medical staff at Walter Reed did not get a staff-wide notice about a presidential visit to the medical center in Bethesda, Maryland, ahead of Trump's arrival, according to that source.
Typically, Walter Reed's medical staff would get a general notice about a "VIP" visit to the medical center ahead of a presidential visit, notifying them of certain closures at the facility. That did not happen this time, indicating the visit was a non-routine visit and scheduled last minute.
The source said it was possible a small group of doctors involved in Trump's medical exams were notified before Trump arrived at Walter Reed, but said all medical staff at Walter Reed would typically be aware if the President was arriving for a routine medical exam.

trumps also vanished, no public appearances due until Tuesday, the press pool didn't see him return to the White House, and it appears his staff are tweeting for him, adding deliberate misspellings that trump doesn't make “womem” and “ststement”.

On top of that, his social media handlers have deleted all the tweets trump made supporting Louisiana’s Republican candidate for Governor, Eddie Rispone after he lost. Not surpring as last week trumps account also deleted all the tweets he made supporting Kentucky’s Republican Governor Matt Bevin who lost.

What’s the point of this? People are obviously recording everything he posts so it’s not going to achieve anything. Everything he and his team do seems so childish in both aim and execution.

Its not for those that would be interested, its for his base, those that would consider anything like that fake news.

These people lapped up Space Force without a clue what it was etc.

True but deleting a tweet about supporting a candidate so you can in all likelihood call them a loser and accuse them of letting the GOP down surely can’t wash because someone will just hold up a screenshot of his tweets on the news. I just don’t see where it gets him, it’s a complete waste of time trying to delete history like that, especially history that matters not one jot.

Looks like manila folder under his arm.
Thats a good shot - looks like it is.
Speculating....Trump doesn't seem to be the sort of person who would be busy reading written reports. What sort of thing would he feel he would have to carry,, and why not a lackey? Proverbial medical history?

You make a fair point and reading between the lines it’s that the average American is dim witted.

Louisiana's John Bel Edwards stuns GOP, wins reelection to a second term as the Deep South’s only Democratic governor.

This is a state that trump Trump had visited three times in five weeks to support Republican challenger Eddie Rispone in the runoff and still, Democrat John Bel Edwards won in a state that Trump carried in 2016 by nearly 20 percentage points and again in his rally this week told the audience, "You've got to give me a big win, O.K.?"

Surely the GOP must be getting worried about this trend, the more they stick up for him the worse it is going to backfire eventually IMO.
Hopefully the people trying to cover for him will eventually be voted out also.

Well, Susan Collins is worried, but enough so that she's got an excuse ready. Obviously under pressure for voting in Kavanaugh, she can always blame trump when she loses her seat.

Shes already lost the endorsement of a major conservative group

I may not have a clue - but you have little in the way of decorum and manners. I'd prefer to be clueless rather than mannerless.

My prediction.

If Trump is facing being found guilty he will be diagnosed with dementia. He will never be held to account.
His cowardice is the only thing that will trump his arrogance.
You underestimate his arrogance. It's the greatest arrogance you've ever seen, the best....
