trumps doctor has released a statement:

"This past Saturday afternoon the President traveled up to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for a routine, planned interim checkup as part of the regular, primary preventative care he receives throughout the year," Physician to the President Dr. Sean Conley said. "Due to scheduling uncertainties, the trip was kept off the record."
Conley states that "despite some of the speculation, the President has not had any chest pain, nor was he evaluated or treated for any urgent or acute issues."
"Specifically, he did not undergo any specialized cardiac or neurologic evaluations," he said.

So based on trumps medical spin before, he definitely went there for chest pains then?

Witness intimidation from Ron Johnson who tried playing hard ball before with the witnesses.

Sen. Ron Johnson sought to undermine a key White House official who is set to testify Tuesday in the ongoing public impeachment hearings.

Johnson (R-Wis.), in a letter sent Monday to House Republicans, questioned the credibility of Lt. Colonel Alexander Vindman, a Ukraine specialist with the National Security Council who listened in on President Donald Trump’s July 25 call with Ukraine’s president, in which Trump pressed his Ukrainian counterpart to investigate his political rivals.

“A significant number of bureaucrats and staff members within the executive branch have never accepted President Trump as legitimate and resent his unorthodox style and his intrusion onto their ‘turf’,” Johnson wrote. “They react by leaking to the press and participating in the ongoing effort to sabotage his policies and, if possible, remove him from office. It is entirely possible that Vindman fits this profile.”

Johnson’s letter comes after the top Republican on the House Oversight Committee, Jim Jordan of Ohio, and Intelligence Committee ranking member Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) requested that the Wisconsin Republican provide firsthand knowledge of Trump's actions toward Ukraine between this April and September .

Paul Erickson, the former boyfriend of convicted Russian agent Maria Butina, has pleaded guilty to wire fraud and money laundering, according to a plea agreement filed in a South Dakota federal court Monday afternoon.

In a two-page statement detailing the factual basis for the plea, Erickson said he conned someone only identified as “D.G.” into wiring him $100,000 under the pretense that the money was for a real estate investment in North Dakota. As part of the plea filed in U.S. district court in South Dakota, Erickson admits the money was not for a real estate deal. He also notes that he wired $1,000 of the money to a person called “M.B.”

An attorney for Erickson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Another Fox News host attacks trump in support of Chris Wallace ‘We’re not entitled to praise you’

This Monday, Fox News host Neil Cavuto took President Trump to task over his recent attacks on Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace, where the President slammed Wallace as “nasty” and “obnoxious” in response to an interview Wallace conducted with House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) regarding the House impeachment inquiry targeting Trump.

“What makes something fake news?” Cavuto asked. “I would assume if the news being reported is fake or wrong and the person presenting that news knows it is fake or wrong that is bad. But what if the news being reported is accurate?”

“My colleague Chris Wallace has discovered again the president doesn’t distinguish,”

Trump Holds Surprise Meeting With Fed Chair Powell, Says 'Everything Discussed': https://www.thestreet.com/investing/stocks/trump-h...

Would love to be a fly on the wall for that one because you know Trump's going to bang on about lowering interest rates or try and push him in to doing some sort of stimulus before the election.

These are the most recent fed meeting notes I could find and while I don't expect anyone to wade through them it's worth a click to see the list of names involved, most of whom are there to feed analysis to the voting members: https://www.federalreserve.gov/monetarypolicy/fomc...

The sheer quantity of information that goes through a central bank is incredible and then you've got Trump, a man who seems to think that lowering the base rate will allow America to borrow more money despite the fact that the interest on t-bills is set on the open market and the base rate then follows the market. I do hope Mr Powell had plenty of crayons on him.

If anyone's interested this is a 15 min snippet of Powell in front of a house committee last week, mostly talking about income growth and national debt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=40&amp...
This wasn't planned. Trump had nothing on his schedule today
So trump was wanting for the central bank governor he appointed to devalue the dollar.

At my meeting with Jay Powell this morning, I protested fact that our Fed Rate is set too high relative to the interest rates of other competitor countries. In fact, our rates should be lower than all others (we are the U.S.). Too strong a Dollar hurting manufacturers & growth!

The president’s statement appears to contradict the Fed’s, which goes out of its way to say that Powell did not talk about whether the Fed is likely to raise or lower the benchmark interest rate in the future.

Be careful what you wish for, dying in office would solve all of Trumps problems and pretty much destroy both the Dems and the media.

Who's wishing for anyone to die? And I would think that would be that start of trump family problems as charges and asset seizures would start against his organisation

Speaking of Hannity earlier, so we know he has been involved now in everything trump did, against Hillary, involved with the Wikileaks leaks, involved with Ukraine...

Fox News host Sean Hannity appears to have acted on directives from emails between President Donald Trump’s longtime political adviser Roger Stone and an intermediary who claimed to have communicated with WikiLeaks.

On Twitter, author Kurt Eichenwald points out that, among the details in the indictment of Stone, is a passage about WikiLeaks’ plan to leak emails suggesting Hillary Clinton was seriously ill and Sean Hannity’s focus on Clinton’s health in the following days.

“Would not hurt to start suggesting HRC old, memory bad, has stroke, neither he nor she well. I expect that much of next dump focus,” Stone’s link to WikiLeaks told him via email on August 2, 2016.

Also in the email, Stone’s link to WikiLeaks told him that Wikileaks’ head Julian Assange was planning a document dump in October.

A few days after the email was sent to Stone, Fox News host Sean Hannity began to focus on Hillary’s health, suggesting that she was having “seizures” and had some sort of neurological problem.

That sounds eerily like the sort of statement Trump would make, no foundation in truth, no rational forethought, just a lazy idle threat.

Pompeo: US no longer considers Israeli settlements illegal: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2019/11/pompeo-isra...

Trying to give Netanyahu a helping hand in the mess of an election Israel's currently going through? (Netanyahu couldn't form a government so if Gantz can't form a government either then Israelis may need to go to the polls a 3rd time.)

Chair Powell's comments were consistent with his remarks at his congressional hearings last week. He did not discuss his expectations for monetary policy, except to stress that the path of policy will depend entirely on incoming information that bears on the outlook for the economy.
The statements don't contradict each other, it's just that Powell has this wonderful phrase 'I only act on incoming information' which is a polite way of saying that there's no relevant information coming from the person he's talking to therefore with regards to fed policy he's going to ignore them completely.

I'd put money on Powell having used various different versions of that phrase during the meeting interspersed with well meaning attempts to explain how economics works at a level he thinks the listener will understand. It's the same MO he uses every time he talks to politicians and seems to leave the politician satisfied that they've been heard even though they've not said anything that Powell doesn't already have a team of people feeding him accurate information about.

Result is that Trump thinks they talked about 'everything' because the everything Trump knows about economics is mortgages and the trade deficit. By contrast this will be barely scratching the surface of everything Powell knows about economics so he can walk away from the same meeting thinking they talked about almost nothing other than the fantasies of an old man with lots of mortgage debt.
