The call for Stephen Miller to resign is growing, there's now more than 20 U.S. senators calling for White House senior adviser Stephen Miller to resign.

The 24 senators are among a growing coalition of lawmakers and civil rights organizations pushing for Miller’s ouster. On Thursday, 107 Democratic members of the House published an open letter to Trump demanding he fire Miller. Earlier this week, over 50 major civil rights groups — including the NAACP and the Human Rights Campaign — penned their own open letter to the White House with the same demand.

Eight organizations belonging to an initiative called Jews Against White Nationalism called on Miller to quit. “As your fellow American Jews,” the organizations wrote in a petition, “we will not rest until you resign.”

The mounting pressure is the result of a series of damning reports published by the Southern Poverty Law Center documenting how Miller, while working as Sessions’ aide, sent some 900 emails to editors of the far-right website Breitbart in 2015 and 2016.

trump has said the Navy Seal he pardoned cannot be punished further by having his pin removed.

Referring to the pin that signifies membership in the SEALs, Mr. Trump said on Twitter that “The Navy will NOT be taking away Warfighter and Navy Seal Eddie Gallagher’s Trident Pin.” He added: “This case was handled very badly from the beginning. Get back to business!”

The secretary of the Navy and the admiral who leads the SEALs have threatened to resign or be fired if plans to expel a commando from the elite unit in a war crimes case are halted by President Trump.

7 of his colleagues reported him for shooting civilians, murdering a captive Islamic State fighter with a hunting knife in Iraq, and threatening to kill he SEALs who reported him.

surely Giuliani should have learnt by now, so should Fox News...

Giuliani appeared on Fox News yesterday and claimed about Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman: “They weren’t investigators, and they weren’t James Bond, and they didn’t have personal communications with the president. Igor Fruman would testify to that. And for some reason Lev has got himself into a grandiose thing. Or maybe his lawyer. His lawyer is saying these things. Why a lawyer says things.”

We know Parnas has said he has hard proof, we know there are photos of him with trump.

HE also again claimed he had insurance in case trump thres him under the bus

Appearing on “America’s News GQ” Saturday morning, Giuliani said that despite widespread reports of his impending legal peril, he was not the least bit worried about the prospect of being indicted.

Asked by host Ed Henry whether he’d spoken to President Trump about the investigation into his foreign business deals, Giuliani provided a distressing response. (The relevant comments begin about the 10-minute mark)

“I do not discuss conversations with my client. You can assume that I talk to him early and often and have a very very good relationship with him,” Giuliani said of Trump.

“And all of these comments – which are totally insulting – I’ve seen things written like, ‘he’s gonna throw me under the bus.’ When they say that, I say, ‘he isn’t, but I have insurance.’”

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/trump-impeachment...

It appears Giuliani's lawyer got to him later as he then tweeted: "The statement I’ve made several times of having an insurance policy, if thrown under bus, is sarcastic & relates to the files in my safe about the Biden Family’s 4 decade monetizing of his office. If I disappear, it will appear immediately along with my RICO chart.”

Thats doesn't make any sense at all - he has proof of his claims in his safe but won't use them. I guess SDNY investigators will now want to look in his safe. Nice move Rudy!

trumps fired him.

Navy Secretary Richard Spencer was fired Sunday by Defense Secretary Mark Esper, who ordered that a Navy SEAL who was acquitted of murder be allowed to remain in the elite commando corps, the Defense Department said.

Esper asked for Spencer's resignation after President Donald Trump tweeted on Thursday that Chief Petty Officer Eddie Gallagher would retain the gold Trident insignia signifying his status as a member of the Sea, Air, and Land Teams, or SEALs. Spencer told reporters on Friday that he believed the review process over Gallagher's status should go forward.

In a letter to Trump, Spencer said he acknowledged his "termination," saying the president deserved a Navy secretary "who is aligned with his vision."

"Unfortunately, it has become apparent that in this respect, I no longer share the same understanding with the Commander in Chief who appointed me," Spencer wrote.

Schumer: "I just spoke to former Secretary of the Navy Richard Spencer. I told him he's a patriot, that he served the Navy and the nation well and he will be missed. Secretary Spencer did the right thing and he should be proud of standing up to President Trump when he was wrong."

Lordy - there ARE tapes

The House Intelligence Committee is in possession of audio and video recordings and photographs provided to the committee by Lev Parnas, an associate of President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, who reportedly played a key role in assisting him in his efforts to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and Ukraine, multiple sources familiar with the matter tell ABC News.

The material submitted to the committee includes audio, video and photos that include Giuliani and Trump. It was unclear what the content depicts and the committees only began accessing the material last week.

trump claimed he didn't know him, Giuliani claimed he was lying about events

So White House desperately tried to cover up trumps bribery to Ukraine.

A confidential White House review of President Trump’s decision to place a hold on military aid to Ukraine has turned up hundreds of documents that reveal extensive efforts to generate an after-the-fact justification for the decision and a debate over whether the delay was legal, according to three people familiar with the records.

The research by the White House Counsel’s Office, which was triggered by a congressional impeachment inquiry announced in September, includes early August email exchanges between acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney and White House budget officials seeking to provide an explanation for withholding the funds after the president had already ordered a hold in mid-July on the nearly $400 million in security assistance.

So whats interesting here is that White House Counsel Pat Cipollone and Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney have both been trying to leak stories blaming the other for holding up the Ukraine aid whilst trying to protect trump, even though we've Sondland who testified it was trumps wishes/orders.

So the above 'internal investigation' revealing Mulvaney was to blame is just another scapegoat sacrificed, but interestingly the story isn't that he held up the aid but tried to fabricate a legal justification after the fact for the illegal holdup.

trump will no doubt use the standard defence, he didn't know Mulvaney, he was a rogue agent...
Will Mulvaney cooperate with the impeachment inquiry to try to avoid prison?

Does anything better illustrate the sheer awfulness of Trump that he would side with this guy over his own secretary of the Navy? Utterly unbelievable but also totally believable at the same time.

Whatever the reality of it, he was acquitted of all those things so they have to be discounted. Think he was only found guilty of posing for a photo with a corpse.

But yes, Trump's dickishness has lost him another senior official.

If he wanted Trump to read that shouldn't he have done it in 48pt typeface, or even better handwritten with a sharpie?

Lev Parnas & Igor Fruman tried to recruit a top Ukrainian energy official in March in a proposed takeover of the state oil-and-gas company, describing the company’s chief executive and Marie Yovanovitch as part of "this Soros cartel" working against Trump.

Lev Parnas, a business associate of Rudy Giuliani, wants to testify to Congress that aides to Rep. Devin Nunes called off a trip to Ukraine this year when they realized they would be required to notify Democratic committee Chairman Adam Schiff.

The purpose of the trip was to interview two Ukrainian prosecutors who claim to have evidence that could help President Trump's reelection campaign, according to Parnas' lawyer.

Parnas also alleges that Nunes, a leading Trump ally, himself traveled to Vienna last year to interview a potential source of political dirt on Joe Biden.

That would be quite damning if true. He would be easy to discredit though. It could be seen as he is trying to save his own skin.
