More from the new Document and audio release - Lordy there are tapes...

These completely contradict the claimthat the Yovanovitch plot was entirely in Hyde's head. We've got a Belgian number, thumbnails of someone who isn't Hyde or Parnas, and an audio clip with an accent.

Messages: https://judiciary.house.gov/uploadedfiles/document...

Audio: https://judiciary.house.gov/uploadedfiles/whatsapp...

The new texts show more efforts to track Marie Yovanovitch. “She been there since Thursday - never left the embassy,” said an unknown Belgium number in text exchange with Trump ally Robert Hyde.

This excerpt from the Parnas - Harvey text chain shows Lev Parnas arranging a meeting among Derek Harvey (Devin Nunes’s aide), Rudy Giuliani (the President’s personal lawyer), Parnas, and disgraced reporter John Solomon in a private room at the Trump Hotel DC.

Messages between Lev Parnas and Nunes aide Derek Harvey bolster Parnas' explosive claims that he had regular meetings at the Trump hotel about his Ukraine work with Rudy, John Solomon, Joe diGenova and Victoria  Toensing, which Harvey sometimes attended.

One thing the texts between Nunes’s aide Harvey and Parnas make clear is that laundering documents to House Republicans through John Solomon, the disgraced reporter who was then an opinion contributor at The Hill was a common practice.

The moscow project correctly called this in December, now we see the proof

As the House of Representatives moves forward with its impeachment investigation, the circle of apparent co-conspirators keeps growing.

We have now heard reports that there was a group of shadow advisers—including President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani; Lev Parnas and his business partner Igor Fruman; attorneys Joe diGenova and Victoria Toensing; “occasionally” top Rep. Devin Nunes (D-CA) aide Derek Harvey; and columnist and conspiracy theorist John Solomon—regularly meeting at the BLT Prime restaurant in Trump’s hotel in Washington, D.C., to allegedly coordinate their efforts for Trump’s own benefit.

(Parnas and Fruman have pleaded not guilty to unrelated campaign finance charges but have not commented on these allegations; Giuliani has denied any wrongdoing in his Ukraine dealings; Toensing, diGenova, and Harvey have not commented; and Solomon denied all involvement in “any campaign to pressure Ukraine.”)

Parnas is now a huge problem for trump and his co-conspirators. Not content with handing over huge amounts of evidence he's now giving interviews, tv appearances to an American audience who lap up tv (hence the money spent on campaign advertising)

Parnas is making sure that the US public know that Trump “knew exactly what was going on”, Barr “was basically on the team” and that John Bolton was also aware.

Remember that there are additional documents and tapes not yet released that House prosecutors are saving for the impeachment trial.

Parnas said he was instructed by Giuliani to inform Ukraine officials that unless an investigation into the Bidens was announced, Mike Pence would not attend Zelensky’s inauguration. Parnas further alleges that the next day, Trump called Ukraine himself to advise that Pence would be canceling his trip. This means Pence was also in on the extortion scheme.

Parnas claims that Trump’s decision to withhold military aid and cut off all relations came up after Ukrainian officials declined to investigate the Bidens.

Not only that but Parnas revelations have the Government Accountability Office investigated and concluded that Trump violated the law by freezing those funds. The GOA report specifically stated: “Faithful execution of the law does not permit the president to substitute his own policy priorities for those that Congress has enacted into law.”
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/01/16/us/politics/gao...

It's also caused Ukraine to say they are investigating, the Ukraine Ministry of Internal Affairs believe that international laws may have been broken, “the published records contain the fact of possible violation of the legislation of Ukraine and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which protects the rights of a diplomat in the territory of another country.”

trump and his merry team of co-conspirators have a big problem with Parnas, but it's not surprising there is so much documented evidence against them. They were lax with the russian assistance during the 2016 campaign, thinking they were above the law after Barr giving them a free pass, so it's not surprising trump thought he could just carry on...

Speaking of Flynn - not sure whats going on here...

He had a cooperating plea deal that was going to give him no prison time. Then he screwed that up, and found himself looking at six months in prison. Then yesterday, Michael Flynn formally asked Judge Emmet Sullivan for approval to withdraw his guilty plea. In response, the judge delayed sentencing until late February, giving Flynn’s attorneys time to make their case.

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/01/16/michael-f...

Does he really think trump is going to pardon him, is he believing all the promises made that others have said they were given that never materialised...

If this goes to full trial, prosecutors will bring out all the evidence against Flynn that didn’t get presented due to his plea deal. They’ll probably bring another suspended indictment against Flynn, adding the criminal charges that he avoided when he cut the deal, which would see him in jail for the rest of his life probably.

Iran says it will pursue war-crimes charges against President Donald Trump at the International Criminal Court in the Hague over this month's assassination of Gen. Qassem Soleimani.

"We intend to file lawsuits in the Islamic Republic, Iraq and The Hague Court [International Court of Justice] against the military and government of America and against Trump," Esmaeili said at a Tuesday press conference.

Shortly after Soleimani's death, Agnes Callamard, UN Special Rapporteur on Extra-Judicial Executions, tweeted that the bar for lethal action by a nation claiming self-defense — as the Trump administration has repeatedly claimed — is extremely high and requires an imminent threat that the US has so far failed to identify.

trumps really letting impeachment getting to him.

He held a ceremony with a college football national championship team yesterday and he completely lost it about impeachment. It was all about him, not the team that was there.

“It’s been a long time, a lot of presidents, some good, some not so good. But you got a good one now, even though they’re trying to impeach the son of a bh. Can you believe that?” He then began bragging about his things he hasn't done or achieved.

John Oliver has repeatedly referred to Trump's shady dealings as "Stupid Watergate" and frankly as more and more of the stuff people in Trump's orbit were doing comes out it seems entirely apt.

Brilliant - Nunes gets his lawyer to threaten to sue Ted Lieu for saying he worked with Parnas, then all the evidence comes out from Parnas that he did...

Ted Lieu: "I welcome any lawsuit from your client and look forward to taking discovery of Congressman Nunes. Or, you can take your letter and shove it.

Sincerely,
Ted Lieu

The DOJ are still protecting Kushner. It's trumps red line...

Despite a court order, the Justice Department is holding back Special Counsel Mueller memos regarding the interviews conducted with the President’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner.

CNN are running more about Barrs links to team trumps crime syndicate over Ukraine

Attorney General William Barr briefly attended a meeting at the Justice Department last fall between top criminal prosecutors and President Donald Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, a department official said Friday.

The meeting reveals a previously undisclosed interaction between two men the President depends on to defend him.
Justice officials have sought to distance the department and Barr from Giuliani since it became clear in recent months that the former New York mayor is the subject of an investigation by Manhattan federal prosecutors. Giuliani was a part of a team of defense attorneys representing a Venezuelan client when they met with Justice Department officials.

trump is still running his mouth off to Mar-a-Lago members, this time over the killing of Soleimani and Lordy there are tapes of this as well!!

President Trump delivered a dramatic account of the airstrike that killed Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani, joked that he doesn’t care if construction projects kill all the rattlesnakes and noted his indifference to the budget during a private dinner with deep-pocketed donors Friday night at Mar-a-Lago, according to audio files obtained by The Washington Post.

Trump, his tone subdued and conversational, explained his motivation for attacking Soleimani and recounted listening to an anonymous military official countdown to the Jan. 3 strike.

The president said nothing about an “imminent attack” on U.S. interests or threats to four U.S. embassies as he previously has to justify the unilateral military strike that escalated tensions in the region and opened debate on presidential war powers.

“He was saying bad things about our country, like we’re going to attack, we’re going to kill your people. I said, ‘listen, how much of this st do we have to listen to, right?’” Trump said to applause from the donor crowd.

In a separate audio clip, Trump is heard boasting about increasing the defense budget by $2.5 trillion — a massive sum he may have gotten to by adding several years’ budgets; the Pentagon budget for fiscal 2020 is $738 billion.

President Donald Trump’s administration said Friday that it planned to roll back school breakfast and lunch nutrition guidelines that were championed by Michelle Obama. And it chose the former first lady’s 56th birthday to make the announcement.

Vindictive spite and mean mindedness are a real thing with Trump and his people (and sadly, it appears, also with the UK miniTrump and team).

I remember years ago Sarah Pailin trying to mock Michelle Obama’s interest in kids’ health by handing out chocolate cookies at her speeches.

It’s amazing how just a short time ago we thought Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman were about as full whack-job as things were likely to get.

It all seems rather tame now.

team trump respond to the House brief on impeachment, by claiming the articles of impeachment are constitutionally invalid. Not that team trump didn't do the crimes, that he's innocent, but that the documentation put forward are invalid...

Trump’s legal team just filed a wafer-thin political messaging doc to open the Senate’s impeachment trial, while the House filed 111 pages that, alongside messaging, include new evidence accumulated since the impeachment votes.

"The articles of impeachment submitted by House Democrats are a dangerous attack on the right of the American people to freely choose their president," the White House's response says. "This is a brazen and unlawful attempt to overturn the results of the 2016 election and interfere with the 2020 election."

Just a reminder of trumps legal team
