Eh, it’s nothing like corbyn being PM here in fact it has far more in common with Boris Johnson being PM but anyway.

MAGA pilot pilot scrawled racist messages and graffiti supporting trump around a Florida airport and blamed it on 'anger issues'.

James Ellis Dees, 53, has been charged with nine counts of criminal mischief for allegedly writing racial slurs about African Americans and Hispanics, including the phrase "Send them ALL Back," in restroom stalls and parking elevators at the Tallahassee International Airport, according to a probable cause affidavit.

He also scrawled "#MAGA," an abbreviation of Trump's campaign slogan, and "#TRUMP4EVER," in several locations around the airport, authorities said in court records.

It's on BBC Parliament now for some reason. I've not been paying attention but I've had it on for the last half hour. It's just Adam Schiff droning on repeating the same thing over and over again, it bears no resemblance to any Court proceeding I've ever seen before.

Usually it's "This is the law, this is what this guy did and this is why that breaks the law." Here he's going on about Russian democracy and showing clips of Trump speeches, I don't know what it is, but it's bizarre.

He's basically having a paddy because the world doesn't agree with his politics. He's going to have a shock when this action leads to Trump winning again later this year I fear.
Let me make it simple for you.

The Trump Ukraine scandal is simple and is doucumented with a huge volume of detail, which includes comments by trump and mulvaney, where they freely admit even boast of what they did.

Trump made the US government’s whole relationship with Ukraine contingent on Ukraine paying his re-election campaign with a favor, got caught out, and has been in a defensive mode ever since.

And it's only Ukraine he's being indicted for. Remember he tried the same with China (quid pro quo over tariffs) and Barr spent the summer trying the same with Italy, Australia and the U.K. That we know of.

The GOP under McConnell are in three monkeys mode, refusing to listen to any evidence, in a desperate bid to hold onto power.
Thanks, I know all that, I was just confused that Schiff spent ages talking about none of that and kept talking about world democracy and the rise of people he disagrees with.

It was more pantomime then court.
Because it's not really a court in the normal sense. Impeachment of a President is more a political move with court like aspects. It's a flawed concept which might have seemed a good idea in the 1780s but is not really suitable to the modern world.

Like pretty much every aspect of US democracy it would seem. And probably ours too although ours isn’t being abused as badly right now.

All democratic systems have weak and grey areas. The various national systems tend to work as much by conventions, accepted practices and the consensus of the parties involved rather than adherence to strict rules and regulations.

Events in both the US and the UK over the past few years have exposed how tenuous some of these conventions and practices are, especially when one or more parties decides to just ignore them or exploit them for base political motives.

Johnson and Trump are both triumphs of marketing over ability.

Corbyn just had a really bad marketing team (as well as Diane Abbot, I'd love to see a marketing team who could make her seem fit for any post)

Possibly I've been brainwashed by TDS but I hear one side putting forward legitimate coherent arguments and the other side just making stuff up.

I remember Trump being interviewed about Obama's birth certificate, talking about how his "people" had found "stuff, incredible stuff, stuff that nobody would believe..." and the more he talked, the more you felt it was bullst. This was back in 2013, and his supporters fell for it. Incredibly, he STILL uses the same bullst phrases 6 years later and his supporters STILL swallow it, hook line and sinker.

And yet it's Schiff and the Dems talking hot air...? confused

I am always struck by how calm, concise and factual Adam Schiff is, and amazed that he somehow prevents himself from losing his temper, surrounded as he is by the complete clown lunacy of the trump administration, the weak, corrupt self-serving Republican senators and the knowledge that a significant percentage of his fellow citizens are stupid and gullible enough to have been taken in by it.

I remember very well trump’s interview with Anderson Cooper promoting his ‘birther' lie, and him saying ‘you would not believe’ what his ’team of investigators’ had found in Hawaii whilst looking into the situation. When questioned further he had no additional info and it was clear as day to me right there and then that he was a pathetic, worthless, lying .

I have not had cause to change that view due to anything he has said or done since.

Explain which part? Have you even watched it, or read the transcript - or are again repeating things you've read on a Maga thread like before?

Here, fill your boots then please explain which bit is hot air.

Day1: https://www.rev.com/blog/transcripts/impeachment-t...
Day2: https://www.rev.com/blog/transcripts/impeachment-t...

We have seen video, documents, WhatsApp messages, witnesses, a GAO report establishing it happened. We have video of the president’s chief of staff admitting it happened. We have evidence that it also happened with China, and was attempted with Australia, Italy, UK...

You are wasting your time. Carl from Manchester's posting style is hit 'n' run, and never go back to the scene of the accident.
