Federal prosecutors have accused Rep. Duncan Hunter of improperly using campaign funds to pursue numerous romantic affairs with congressional aides and lobbyists, according to a new court filing late Monday night.

The Justice Department alleged that Hunter (R-Calif.) and his wife Margaret Hunter illegally diverted $250,000 in campaign funds for personal use, including to fund lavish vacations and their children’s school tuition. Monday’s court filings also spell out allegations that Hunter routinely used campaign funds to pay for Ubers, bar tabs, hotel rooms and other expenses to fund at least five extramarital relationships.

Same people who are saying 22 allegations of sexual harassment and attempted rape is nothing to see here, are on another thread complaining about how authorities ignored repeated evidence of paedophile gangs in the UK.

Strange times.

On the "next president" thread a poster said the allegations against Trump were "just mud slinging by desperate dispicable people"

Just a fking awful thing to say, and so typical of Trump supporters. Pure swamp dwellers.

They are mind boggling in their ignorance and lack of ambition to read and educate themselves or broaden their horizons.

I deleted the thread from My Stuff after my last post in there this afternoon because it just depresses me talking to people like that.

The original allegations are old news and his wife has plead guilty which most read as cooperating with the investigation in exchange for a slap on the wrist.
Hadn't heard about the 5 affairs though.
John Oliver had a whole segment on it two weeks ago.

This is the man who walks away with an umbrella over him, leaving his wife to get wet in the rain. What do you think?
That photo is fake news!

His hair needs more protection as contact with water will make it look ridiculous.

Plus, he needs to hold the umbrella with two hands, as they're so tiny he can't grip it with just one.

Oh, and he has previous for not going to important places when it rains, so the umbrella is symbolic gesture of selfishness.

The National Rifle Association has shut down production at NRATV.

The N.R.A. on Tuesday also severed all business with its estranged advertising firm, Ackerman McQueen, which operates NRATV, the N.R.A.’s live broadcasting media arm

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/06/25/us/nra-nratv-ac...

Thoughts and prayers? What will the leadership do now they aren't getting backhanders from their advertising firm? All that money from russian sources seems to have caused conflict and financial issues.
