Just an update to my personal situation- Chances are I will be made redundant along with 20 others as soon as October due to working mainly in the EU for a UK company.

Thanks guys.
Enjoy taking back control.
Enjoy WTO rules.
I’ll be looking for a job in a very poor jobs market. Specialist in a niche market.
Anyone want to explain this to my children? Will of the people, democratic decision? Balls to all of you.
I care about my family not your views on the supposed EU super state.
Thanks you have just made my life a fking sight tougher.
Sorry to hear that.

Grim.
that is sad thing, my hope is you do sound like a highly skilled person so your skill set will be valuable to other firms and you will find work soon.

I also do understand why for you brexit is a total clusterfk. It is I doubt going to bring any one prosperity short term longer term my feeling is this will all work out an we will all be about as well off as we would have been otherwise.

best of luck

You're not a bit curious about lrdisco's inconsistencies?
Look, I wish the fella well if he really has been made redundant. But a quick peruse of some of his posting history reveals some strange (quite recent) posts that don't seem to correlate with the new story today.
Of course, there may be a logical explanation, but given your own propensity to 'read between the lines', you of all people must surely want to see any confusion cleared up?

ps what do you think of people ganging up on returning banees?
Surely if a poster had been banned the mods would get round to sorting it ?

There seems to be a bit of attention on this thread but DeepEnd remains present.

How’s your mate Goon, he’s gone a bit quiet of late.

If he is genuinely being made redundant then that is a sad situation but there do seem to be some inconsistencies in his postings.

Perhaps he can enlighten us.

Maybe he’s a contractor (IT?) as a main job and does houses up as second job. Hardly uncommon.

Meanwhile

After being told Turks will join EU (lie), area that voted leave has part of its industry (in brexit related slump) bought by Turks and then faces shut down and work moving abroad.

Bra-fking-vo leavers. Have a pat on the back.

I’m Yorkshire as well. North Yorkshire.
I’ve done a bit better than you. But I must have been lucky as I obviously know nothing. I’m obviously a bit of a cow boy according to you.
Mortgage all paid off on your house? Not had a residential mortgage since I was 39.
What’s your job title and experience ? Just interested in your level of competence in construction and development management.
Last year I developed just one property but gained planning for 35 properties on some land I own with my family. Also turned over £400,000 contracting but you know I’m hopeless don’t you?
I must have been very lucky getting completion certificates and warranties on the 4 £500,000 houses I have developed in the last 4 years using my own specifications. Really lucky.
Happy to email you details.
Sat snug in my job seeing how Brexit will pan out.
You are really knowledgeable about me do I know you????
Were you really working in the EU in a specialist niche?
You do know Tadcaster is in the E.U. ?

He won’t be working in the E.U. in November but will probably still be in Tadcaster smilesmile

Anyone else hear the loony on Jeremy Vine today?

He was so scared of food shortages post Brexit he was stockpiling tinned goods, especially beans.

He was also saying that some of his friends expected to die because of drugs shortages.

They gave this idiot airtime.

He's not on here is he?

Cheers,

Tony

In the gym today there was a Brexit segment on one of the big screens. Guy next to me starts frothing at the mouth. I should have resisted saying something to him, he replied 'well come 1 October we won't be able to go on holiday and there will be no food in the supermarkets. fking great'. I looked at him and thought 'have you been listening to Mr T' smile

Maybe he was simply taking his lead from Matt Hancock, the Health Secretary.

I mean he seems really sure nobody will die as a result of shortages.

So to all the doubters. I changed sectors due to nearly loosing everything in 2008 and being sick of working for myself.
Not saying on a public forum which niche but working all over Northern Europe.
So instead of looking at my previous posts tell me what is to be gained for me and my family.
I’m happy to pm or email anyone who really is interested.
Tell me please what I should do? I really am at a loss.
You all know the answers so tell me what to do.
Oh yes it’s not just dropped on me but the whole BJ leave at any cost is a new one.
Some on here have all the answers. So give me an answer.

In fairness he sounds like something of a change from the usual caller to JV.

It’s like One Man And His Dog for those who think the Daily Mail is a touch too subtle usually.

I know we all love to play the internet hardman / laconic raconteur but is that what you’d actually say in person to somebody who had lost their job owing to Brexit related circumstances ?

So you changed to an uncertain future a month before we were leaving the EU with no deal in march but that is somebody else fault?

Yup

Zero sympathy for anyone who comes on here whining about how voters have ruined their life, would you like to explain to my children, fk right off with that st. That's a general principle, not a Brexit special. Anyone who comes on here whinging about balls to all Corbyn voters - they've ruined my life, can also, FRO.

There was a GP on LBC (Shelagh) saying no deal will “undoubtedly” kill someone.

Presumably Doctors are not on the list of people to listen to. Metro elite “undoubtedly”.
